Clank(ish) sound
Clank(ish) sound
Hey guys- 2011 g37sport sedan with 98kmiles, tires less than 10k- oem brakes- been dealing with a slight vibration at hwy speeds- usually happens 78-82 and up sometimes(at times only in that range at others all up to 100) and at times I think at 30-40 if im turning the wheel just slightly left to right as the pressure comes on the steering, the feedback is like a slight wobble...anyway, have had rotations, balance, alignments(2x at Nissan with hunter) and still persist. so lately as weather is cooling here in FL, i have started car and roll windows down and back out of garage etc, but I am hearing a distinct clank, i think from front left, not all the time, but usually when shifting from P to R and start rolling and then sometimes again from R to D...but it doesn't happen all the time, at times nothing....I plan to get it checked out(moving right now) so really hoping someone out there can give me an idea of what it may be/could be as this may be the whole vibration thing, though not bad, drives me nuts on hwy...I have had it checked at Nissan about 2 months ago, but nothing per the tech doing a visual and at time it was just a request on my part , as with windows up and ac on, didn't hear this sound, so had no clue...apologies on long post, but hoping to give a good idea on what i've done already, as new house and new expenses....so don't want spend unnecessarily ...thanks all
Hey thanks slartibartfast, but from all i read , that is only when turning, at least that is most examples i found...if I am in reverse and no input to steering, car starts to inch back and clank etc, could that still be it ? i mean if i turn left to right when in park, i don't hear any sounds, wheels turn no sounds ... I dont know , just asking, so thanks for your input
