Re customer satisfaction surveys.....
Re customer satisfaction surveys.....
Every time I get the car serviced I get a follow-up satisfaction survey which I've always filled out favorably because I really like my dealer.
But the other day when it was in for a service, the topic of these surveys came up in conversation and I was told that every single complaint or negative comment of any kind is counted against the Service writer who handled the original transaction, even if they have nothing to do with the problem.
In other words, if I complained that dealer parking is a problem, or driving in an out of the dealer is difficult, or even something as dumb as the customer lounge furniture starting to look a little shabby, it's all counted against the SA, for chrissakes.
I really, really resent the fact that anything negative I say - even if I feel it's legitimate and/or constructive in order to make the dealer even better than it already is - is all counted against the SA.
I would love to have someone explain to me the logic behind this.

That's how sales jobs work. Someone invents a useless metric to quantify your job performance and you ignore what you can't control.
If your adviser is being judged on his performance relative to the other advisers, then scarce parking and a broken coffee machine should affect them all equally.
