I just went to a car wash yesterday, and after I retrieved my car, I reset all the things they goofed with, like the seats and mirrors. However, the passenger side door mirror isn't responding to the controller. I guess it's possible that water could have gotten in some place and caused a short, but I sort of doubt that. More, I think, it was forced out of position by one of the brushes, and maybe something is stuck?

Is there a way to reset the door mirror motors? I manually pushed the mirror back into the position I like for the time being.

If neither mirror is working, check fuse #6 ('05/'06) or #19 ('13) near driver's left leg.

There are two motors in each mirror, one for left and right and one for up and down. If neither of those are responding in the passenger door mirror (but the other mirror is working) then it's electrical and I'd suggest inspecting the wires which pass through the boot from the body to the passenger door. Look for any frayed or broken wires...

I wanted to let the passenger side fully dry out - which isn't hard being that we're experiencing a heat wave here in SoCal now!
I'll check on that mirror this weekend.

 

Update:

As is often the case with electrical and mechanical things, it seemed to fix itself.
Maybe something was just wet enough to prevent a connection, but not enough for a full short circuit. Who knows.
