TSB for fueling cutoff
TSB for fueling cutoff
Just got back from fueling up. Tried two different pumps and the automatic shutoff was kicking in every few gallons. I seem to remember there being a TSB or warranty extension for this issue related to the evap system. Does anyone remember where i can find this info?
Call Infiniti.
Based on your VIN they will verify coverage and provide next steps. Have talked with them about something unrelated and they were very helpful proactively bringing up this warranty extension.

Can you update us when you call Infiniti? My G did the same thing on my last fill-up so I literally forced it to pump and just estimated 16 gallons. But if it happens again on my next fill-up , I'll be calling Infiniti as well.
Google Infiniti tsb hard to fill fuel for info. I took my car in before for this issue and they replaced the fuel pump but and it helped a little bit. I learned to deal with it by holding and turning the pump 90*
has nothing to do with the fuel pump. Has to do with the evap system not venting correctly. Looks like Infiniti extended a 15yr/150k warranty for this issue.

I'm planning to get this done this coming week, but I foresee two issues: 1) the issue I have is exactly as Victory describes it, but more importantly, probably only happens 5-10% of the time I get gas and 2) this isn't technically the problem covered by the recent evap line TSB and extended warranty. That specifically cites fuel over-filling and not telling the pump to stop pumping gas.
Anyway, we'll see how this works out. I have a very good relationship with my dealership, so I'm hopeful they'll replace it anyways. I went to my mechanic and he said they replaced the evap line one time, but won't do it again as it's VERY difficult. I'll keep you guys posted.
Looks like I'll have to wait until it gets worse then. Im not looking to spend money right now for someone to tell me they can't recreate the issue because they took it to a gas station with a slower pump
