Finally hit 30k
IDK. You'll have to research. It's just a vague memory, people b1tching about the aftermarket CSC. I don't think Z1 is the only game in town, either.
RJM has since come up with a one-piece which is easier to install, IIRC.
I mean exactly that. Ryan = RJM. If he falls on hard times, gets whacked by a bus, or just decides to shut down this business for whatever reason... then the entire G/Z community loses access to a truly fantastic product. Like your warranty questions, odds are the day you decide to buy the RJM Pedal will be the day Ryan shuts down RJM.

Rochester, after seeing the Engineering Explained video I also thought to myself "hey, you can teach an old dog new tricks after all."
For some reason I thought this part was a lot more expensive and the pedal feel was not that different than the Jsolo spring. I should have just gotten the RJM pedal. I believe that replaces the Jsolo spring anyway, right? Did you see any need for the master cylinder or just the pedal?
The newest version of this pedal does not look bad to install at all. Now will you stop recommending parts for me to buy because I seem to be spending plenty of money on this car on my own.
All kidding aside, I appreciate your advice and you have not steered me wrong yet. And if I had it to do all over again I probably would have bought almost exactly the same parts.
The only bad thing about Ryan being a 1 man operation is that if he closes down and we need parts we are SOL.

I'm thinking three things:
One, after all the miles on your car, how much trust do you have in the CSC seals right now, irrespective of getting the RJM pedal and (purportedly) minimizing that risk on a go-forward basis? I mean, if you've been eating prime rib every night for 4 years, and suddenly go vegan...

If it goes, well, my extended warranty will cover the replacement

That's not me, I just used my mad interweb skillz to research ways to mitigate CSC failure
4DRZ, I bought the RJM pedal last Christmas, definitely worth it. I had bought it primarily so I could get out of 1st and 2nd smoother, didn't realize the added benefit it has on the CSC.
I think what Rochester is saying about Ryan being a one-man shop, is that he's designed this bad *** clutch pedal assembly on the side and manufacturers them only when he has demand. Definitely doesn't seem like his primary source of income so there's always a risk to him closing up shop should work or life, in general, take over the time he's dedicating to it. There was a guy on the Maxima forums, called Matt Blehm who made some quality components to address a braking issue. Great guy, great product but he ultimately ended up closing shop due to his job moving him.
sadpanda

Last I gave it consideration, the MC seemed more of a road-course consideration than DD. Probably right up your alley, but IDK really.
You OK?You know who was awesome? The guy running NWP Engineering. Another one-man-shop, but super professional and helpful and freaking brilliant, IMO.
Another vendor from the Org with a stellar rep: Brian Catts. Those Cattman products were top-shelf.

my wife borrowed my car a while back and came home saying how much easier it is to drive. she never came close to stalling or any rough starts or 1-2 shifts. that's proof enough for me that the RJM pedal is legit. issue here is that she may ask to borrow my ride more often now...no bueno.
I'm embarrassed to share my CarDomain, yes, CarDomain page for my 00 Max

Yes! I had his SS Y-Pipe and True CAI. Rochester, did you have a Max build thread?

And here we are whoring the OP's thread, dammit. I'm afraid he's going to stop being nice to me now.

i managed it myself with basic tools and mechanical knowledge. the work is simple and straightforward. by far the most challenging aspect is the cramped working environment under the dash. my rib cage is finally close to what it was before the install. it took me ~3 hours and several beers/advil. i'm roughly average sized at 6' ~195lbs, so if a guy is smaller that must help. not sure how bigger guys do it. i didn't remove my driver's seat. some people say that helps but i didn't want to screw around with the seat..

I would expect nothing less from you. Oops, there I go being nice again. Don't get used to it.
Just joined the 30k club yesterday. I started reading this thread early in the week in anticipation, didn't realize it had derailed into rjm pedal discussion. I did that last year, had no idea it was beneficial to the csc. Now I'm going to start researching the fluid change before winter.
Oh, no extended warranty for me. Reliability of the Japanese is one of the main reasons I bought the G.

Nice! I don't work at home, but very close to home so I am already over 33k in my '13. I see you are in Chicago. I would say, "let me know if you are ever in northern WI, but from your low mileage it looks like you will never drive this far.

I'd be down for a meet up in the middle somewhere if we can rally some folks once the weather warms up. I have one more weekend on my snows and then I'm back to summer tires. FWIW, I'm sitting pretty stock compared to you so my car doesn't have much wow factor.

I was trying to be, oh what do they call it, "nice."
