Key Battery

My key battery is losing juice so couple questions...

1. How much will infiniti charge me for a new battery?
2. If I were to buy a spare key, will Infiniti sync it even if I don't buy through them?

Thank you

Here in NJ we have Batteries Plus stores
They change these batteries all the time
You do not need to go to the dealer for a key Fob battery
I believe they are a 2032 and you can buy them in a supermarket and do it yourself

Yes, its a 2032 and can be found at any local store - drug store, grocery, Target, etc. Honestly, it takes about 3-4mins. to do yourself. YouTube if you have any issues.

^ +3. key fob batteries are easy to buy and replace. it's a 2 minute job. no sense to go to the dealer, who probably has stale batteries anyhow...

if you can change the batteries in your TV remote, you can do the key fob too.

just replace the battery, to buy a new fob and reprogram it will cost you $$$.

Please do not go to the dealership to have them change your key fob battery

Glad to hear you didn't get sucked into the stealership. I'm really curious what ridiculous price they try and charge those who aren't car savvy for such a simple task.
