I could only understand if it was much bigger but he probably has bugs stuck to his front bumper bigger than that. Maybe he has a wider view picture to show us.

Even though I would love to teach a lessen to that family and have them pay for the repair (regardless or income or means) Touch it up with a paint pen and call it a day, you will remember me when someone rams their front license plate screws into your rear bumper when your car is parked in front of your local walmart
It's called an idiot tax. The purpose is to make it more expensive for these idiots to continue neglecting their menace of a child. I'd present them with a quote, take the cash and hit it with touch up paint, then buy yourself a nice bottle of scotch so you can drink away your anxiety every time you hear their sprog playing outside

Granted, I'm bitter because i just found 2 6" scratches on my drivers door...

I slapped the dad with the estimate of 710.00 from the shop and oh boy he was not happy, the wife never told him anything about the son playing with a knife and he kept cursing me through the window for, he said he will call the police and his lawyer to investigate lmao, the other neighbor said to him if you're going to do the popo and so better pay up what your son did lol.

So they aren't planning to take responsibility for their kids? I'm shocked

The police aren't going to do anything. And you're not going to see a dime from these "people". Sorry.

Next time, call the police to file a report right when it happens and let your insurance take care of it. They can recover all the money back from the at fault party if it isn't your fault (and the at fault party is identified) and if you have comprehensive coverage. It would be covered under vandalism.

Plus, since it is a comprehensive claim, your rates won't go up. In fact, you don't even need to call the police at all with this type of claim if you don't want it to show up on Carfax.

Yes I do have comprehensive claim but I was told by the broker that I would have to pay the $500 deductible first b4 they open a claim. or talk to a lawyer and see what I can do. I am in canada also
