My wife finally got a 4DSC

Well it's not the GT-R I wanted, but it is GT-R blue.

I love the way those look, and I loved the generation before that.

Does this have a CVT and, if so, how do you like it? I had a rental altima with one and hated it, but it might be different on a car with twice as much engine

She had the previous generation too and I loved the coke bottle shape of that one from above, but the aggressive styling on this one (especially the front with it's BMW M3-esq built-in splitter look) works for me too.

I would much rather it be a manual, but they got rid of those in '06 for the Maxima when it made up less than 1% of sales. For a CVT it is actually really good- especially in sport mode. No complaints, and that is saying a lot since I hate A/T transmissions. It is surprisingly quick and stealthy since it is so quiet (well compared to my car anyway).

The really surprising part is the handling. I would venture to say it is the best handling front wheel drive family sedan I have driven. Much better than her last gen Maxima too.

I've not driven the 8th Gen yet, but I have sat in it at the dealership and the autoshow. The car has an extremely rewarding, upscale interior. Much, much better than our G37, IMO. And all mechanical things being relatively equal to the beautiful 7th Gen Maxima, I suspect the driving experience is excellent for that class of car. Smooth, responsive, confident... all good. Maxima > Camry/Sonata/Optima, every day, all day.

But I hate the look of it. It's so bulbous and over-styled, I make that WTF-face ever time I see the car.

I think the real surprise here is that someone married you.

I wouldn't turn down a current fusion sport. The 2.7 ecoboost is a beast. 0-60 in 5.1 and that's before the stupidly inexpensive plug and play tune that snags you an extra 100hp

It was actually pretty easy. I just asked her if the rag I wrapped around her face smelled like chloroform. When she woke up she had a ring on her finger.

I need a picture of it in the sunlight as it looks really cool with all of the depth and pearl in the paint.
