Clanking front end noise? Sounds like pots and pans

I would say most of know classic ball joint/sway bar bushing sounds so what I am hearing in the mornings is quite different. Best way to put it is dishes or pots clanking against each other as tho two metal pieces are knocking as opposed to something being "loose" with a ball joint or sway.

I am wondering if it may have to do with the strut? Possibly the top section where it meets the body.

Curious what you all think! Tomorrow I will try to get a video.

Thanks.

Any aftermarket parts installed? When did the noise occur? At low speed only, going over bumps only, or constantly?

Have you replaced your front struts before? Check to sure the orange rubber thin gasket that is supposed to sit on top of your strut is there.

Thanks guys! No aftermarket items and I will check the gasket here in a few. It's noticeable as soon as I get on the highway in the mornings and start to hit rough/slightly buckled sections of highway going 60/70 mph. There's a notorious section I hit less than half a mile from the in ramp. I will try to get a vid in the morning and upload it here so at least I have the sound. It's almost like a body component is loose. Very odd
