I had a 2008 Lexus LS460 immediately preceding my 2012 x. It is amazing just how different of a driving experience there is between the two. Even accounting for the additional weight, the LS just does not feel like it has 380 horsepower. Oddly, upon release of the model, Lexus quoted 5.4 to 60 whereas the best result in C&D, MT. R&T. et al were in the low 6's. Only mention those periodicals because they all use top flight testing equipment for both acceleration and the other parts.
While I do miss the way the 460 looks, a big reason I sold it is that here about 20 minutes from the Smokey Mountains, every few Winters we get a decent amount of snow and while I do have snow tires and wheels, until I do a cross-country trip during the Winter months again, I will most likely stay with the all seasons.
Also, the steering, while not as immediate as the rack in the RWD Sports and I believe the rest of the RWD models have a slightly quicker rack as well, is still a revelation compared to be far more leisurely electric steering on the LS. And to state the obvious, the LS460 is a full on luxury car and has a far different mission the does the G. That does not excuse the relative lethargy for the "380 horsepower" V8 in the car.

My wife's G37xS replaced our 230,000 mile 2003 Lincoln LS V8 Sport. She loved the LS, but it need the dash pulled for an AC expansion valve, a PCM, and a transmission. I parted it out and got about $1400 out of it. We owned that car for 11 years, so I'm hoping for the same out of the G.

Prior to this I had a Buick Regal GS. Factory supercharged. Dirt cheap to modify. Put the suspension and brakes from a police package impala on it. HFC downpipe and a tune.
Car was a real sleeper if you could hold on tight enough to the steering wheel while it turned the front tires into smoke.

From the time I started driving I've switched cars about every year up until the past 3-4 years when Georgia changed the rules so sales tax has to be paid on fair market value of a used car when purchased from a private party. Total is 30+ cars over the years but here are some notable ones-
- Five different Taurus SHOs -All were Yamaha V6 versions...4 MTX and one ATX. I had an addiction for a few years
- Two BMW E46 330i sedans-My last car was a 03 ZHP sedan and probably my favorite car so far
- 2003 Lincoln LS V8-I loved the V8...but the transmission was junk even by Ford automatic standards.
- Two Land Rover Discoveries-My last one was a 2004 with light off-road mods...one of my favorite vehicles as a second car but was a terrible daily driver
- 1991 Prelude Si 4WS-Fun car but slow. Showcases the extremely high build quality of Hondas of that era IMO and the 4 wheel steering was cool. It's still running around Atlanta I think.

Dodge Durango Hemi R/T
For a 50k Suv - this AWD hemi sucked - 2 years & was breaking down on me & had some power but felt like a big fast box - to many problems with this dodge

1994 Camry - 1 year then died
1998 Camry - 1 year then the engine blew
2013 Camry - fcking 4 years with a so damn bad MGP for an I4 and driver seat possition, so gave it to mom

2005 Nissan Sentra SER Spec-V 6MT (totaled on a deer). I really loved the Spec, it was fun and handled great, like a go-cart.
