Fuse box location

So both of my fog lights stopped working, and I'm assuming it's a fuse. I checked the main fuse box by the battery but there's nothing there for fog lights. Anyone know where this fuse is located?

The fog light fuse is in the engine bay, near the battery. You'll find a vertical rectangular plastic box, which you can unclip from the bottom then pull up and open

I checked the fuse box by the battery, but nothing listed for "fog lights." Is it under a different name? None of them looked relevant to my issue.

I did some digging for you and actually ran out to check my G, cannot find the fog light fuse but I did find this thread, It seems that these fuses are located in a not so fun place.

This is taken from the thread:

"you have to pop the battery cover off
then pop the plastic vent cover/shroud off of the battery area
disconnect the battery
pull up the big black fuse box on the side of the fender by pushing down the lock *****
they should all be there, I think theyre on the right part of the fuse box layout"

Hope that helps!

I know! That is how I read it. Very inconvenient if you ask me. Let me know what you do and if you find it.

You do not have to disconnect the battery. You do have to remove some plastics. Search the Service Manual for the "IPDM (Engine Bay)".

Furlow, I bet you still have the original battery on that 2013. The first time you go to remove all the plastic surround at the top of the engine bay, it seems like a daunting project. Two minutes later, it seems like nothing at all.

This picture is taken from a G37. This shows exactly where the IPDM is. It's to the left of the visible fuse box by the battery as you can see in the picture but under by the plastic covering. Hope that helps.

Awesome thanks guys. I'm out of town this week, car's at home. I'll check it out when I get back. At first glance it seemed like a "project," but if the plastic surrounding comes off that easy then this shouldn't be an issue at all.

15A fuse #58 in your IPDM (see pic). There is also a fog lamp relay ... somewhere. The BCM decides when the relay is powered by looking for the fog switch + low beams. Fogs won't run on their own (without a mod), and won't run with high beams.

Took the plastic coverings off, but there's no way I'm getting this fuse box cover off without taking the battery out. I called my shop and he warned against taking the battery out, as I would "lose all sorts of electronic information." I guess they have a way of maintaining power to the car while removing the battery. $40 to diagnose. Worth it to me. I'm too old for this sh*t. Lol.

You lose your radio presets and your seat memory. Oh the horror!

Just remove the battery, man. Come on, you're almost there. Unbolt the battery tie-down and your done.

He mentioned a bunch of other scary sounding stuff too, like internal computer things. My previous car to this was a 2004 Honda Accord coupe so I get a little more nervous messing with a much more modern/technological car like this.

All of the plastics are still off, I may go back at it later. I swear my next car is going to be stock, full factory warranty, and I'm not doing anything except driving it. Hahaha!

Sorry, i totally forgot about the plastic cover. Also, I've probably disconnected my battery dozens of times working on my car and nothings happened so I think your mechanic is being kind of a doomsayer..
