So my G37s sedan have being throwing P0300 & P0171 codes on and off for about two months. Today I took off the engine cover to see if there I can find any leaks to cause the codes. I discovered that there is a small tube connecting to my stillen Gen 3 broke. Anybody know what that part is called and if it can be purchase separately?
The broken part is a "oil vapour separator" and is part of the crankcase ventilation system.
It looks like Nissan/Infiniti does not sell just that part, but the entire intake boot.
You could try craigslist, ebay, kijiji, scrap yard to get what you need.
If you don't mind cleaning your throttle body more often, you could bypass this with a hose.
Went over to Infinity today and was told to get that little part I will have to buy the entire intake tube which is about $200. For now I have bypassed with a tube until I can find a replacement.
For now, car is running very smooth. Idle is maintaining at 700 RPM instead of 1100 RPM when it was throwing codes.
