Looking to buy G37X Sedan

Hi Guys and Gals,

I apologize if this thread is not permitted or in the wrong section but want to hear from the experts. I'm looking to purchase 2011-2013 G37 sedan with under 50k miles or close to it. My budget is like 18k. Is it reasonable price for such car?

Always loved these cars ever sicne they came out in 03. I have leased my last 2 cars (11 accord and 14 accord both MT) but I think it is time to buy something to keep. I realize how rare the MT g37 so I accepted going back to auto.

I found this car on cars.com and was wondering if it is good deal. I'm in NYC

Thanks for any and all replies.

Looks good to me, mileage is fairly low, dealer serviced, and has the nav package. I'm sure you could negotiate your way to a lower price as well.

Seems like a steal if you ask me. At $18,900, it's way under recommended NADA MSRP of $20,025. Try to negotiate but if they don't budge I'd say your'e still walking away in good shape.

That being said, it is a little odd they're under cutting themselves this much from the go. Could have been sitting on the lot for a long time though.

I'd check alignment, tire wear, rotor condition - feel for grooves, brake life, HARD acceleration and HARD braking. Don't slack here - test drive it. Feel for vibrations in places they shouldn't be. Check under floor mats and look for moisture. Will tell you if there is a leak in the sun roof. Also, Hard turning going forward and in reverse. Check all interior lights and fitments. Make sure everything is tight. Pop the hood as well; doesn't look like it has seen a modification in its life but you never know. Ask about the battery life. If it hasn't been changed yet, you're around that time to do so. Make sure all lights and blinkers function. Make sure spare and equipment is in trunk....Just a few things....

Since you're buying it at the Infiniti dealer, you can just ask for the inspection sheet. That covers most of what a mechanic would look at anyways.

That seems like a good deal, the only main thing to look out for is rust from salt since it was driven mainly in Maryland super close to DC and in New York. I'm sure you are familiar what driving in the city is like. 30k miles in new york city is really like double the wear and tear! Looks like your going to get a good deal though!

Nice that it's a 2012, issues from an inferior oil gallery gasket in Gs prior to 2012 have been a problem and cost upwards of $2k to repair. Sounds like a fair deal, let us know what you end up with & glad you found us!

I went to check it out and the car was in pretty poor condition visually. Tear in the passenger side seat, dog chewed out rear seatbelt, animal hair everywhere and smelled like something died inside.

There was another car next to it that I took interest in.

Little more expensive but a year newer. I will probably buy this one this week.

I drove it and it felt good. Let me know what you guys think. Checking cars.com everyday and this seems like one of better deals.

Wow, it looked pretty decent in the pictures. Never would have thought it would have been in such poor condition!

The other one looks pretty good also, and it's black which is much nicer than the boring silver IMO.
