General Artic snow G37x review
General Artic snow G37x review
So I put on General Artic snow tires on just the front of my 2013 G37x. They stop awesome and I can rip out the whole really fast with no over steer. As far as handling goes with snow tires just on just the front. It's great. Stopping with confidence, car stays straight, ABS needs 2 gripping tire to keep it straight while braking, etc. As far losing the rear end in a turn. It's not like oh my that happened out of no where. It's more like ya I was trying to autocross that turn and the rear tires came loose. But with AWD, TC off, and snow mode on. You just throttle through it and the front tires gripping pull the rear right back in line. Shhhhhhhh don't let the tire salesman know that you now know the truth. That's why I bought my own tire machine and balancer. After you talk to the tire salesman who says you can't use just 2 winter tires on the front, then the new car salesman will tell you that you can't drive anything but awd cars in the winter and you need to buy one. I used to run 4 winters but I learned it is just a waste of money unless you're trying to drive like an autocross driver.
I don't know if I should be more confused by the fact you are using snow mode than the fact you are trying to convince people to only buy 2 winter tires and put them on the front on a very RWD bias car so they can try to be Ken Block and probably fail?
I can easily have fun with the car and I have Nokian Hakkapelita R2s all around for winter. There is no way in hell I'd want to run my Falken FK453s on my car in winter, front or rear.
