Q50 Phoning it in?

In a Q50 3.0T loaner while my car gets the timing gasket changed. First thing I noticed was that this new engine is torquey and really sounds great for a V6...a little too great.

A day later, im beginning to think the engine noise gets a little help from the Bose system. Am I off the mark here, or is Infiniti doing the same engine noise enhancement trick that BMW is?

The red sport at the very least has it for sure, so the lesser models may as well.

Yep. Fake engine noise pumped into the cabin. Infiniti isn't the only pathetic culprit (looking right at you BMW).

You'd probably be surprised, or disgusted, at the amount of new vehicles with this. It's getting more and more common. Improved NVH means you hear less engine noise so it has to be added back in.
