Tried my best to clean the spot but where those two notches are but it seems a prime location for jack stands the front of the car.
Just curious what you all think. I need to jack the front, place the stands then jack the rear while the car is on those stands. That way it's nice and level for the diffs, transfer case and (eventually) gearbox.
And FYI that is the front diff there right behind the oil filter housing so really not bad at all to get at.
My worry there would be that you have them placed kind of close together and would run more of a risk of the car tipping from side to side. I've always followed the floor jack & jack points noted in the FSM:
I normally use ramps in the front (easier clearance wise especially if your lowered) and then jack from point A (nipple) enough to just clear the ramps & get my stands in place on the front pinch welds. Then jack from point B (pumpkin), and lower onto jack stands at rear pinch welds..
Also, Hockey puck jack stand pads FTW. Your pinch welds will thank you later.

Yeah I am debating the hockey puck...I just hate putting all the weight on the body and would rather get it on the frame but you are right about the car being less stable since they would be very close together. It's tough trying to find a good spot! Wanna make sure I am away from suspension components and have room work under there.
The rear is harder to move the jack stand points from the pinch welds to give you more room. However the front you can sometimes remove under-trays in order to get clear access to the front sub frame. I used to have that as my jack point when my car was slammed as it was the only place for a jack to fit under [with front bumper removed].
this is wat i do and let me know if theres any serious error in doing it this way but ive been doing it this way for awhile now with no ill effects. i use the floor jack to jack up the car a few inches away from the pinch weld and set the jack stand where the pinch weld is.
