Random observation: drove home in the rain today. When I parked in the garage I noticed quite a bit of steam coming out of the grill. Freaked me out at first. Checking it, I could actually feel the heat coming through. I'm not really worried about it, pretty confident it was simply rain on the radiator. Just curious if anyone else ever noticed this.

 

Yup, pretty normal for our cars. Just rain water hitting the radiator or some other hot part on the car. It's the design of the car that is causing that.

 

Yeah, that all aluminum setup is one hot *****. Could fry a thick Ribeye on that bad boy. OP, as long as your temp gauge is no more than the halfway mark, should be fine

 

Did a car wash yesterday and it looked like my front end was on fire with all the steam coming out of the grill waiting for the light to change. I figured it was design related but glad I searched for this topic!

 

It steams like no other car I have owned.... It is kind of weird, but normal
