Getting rid of the horn when locking the car?

I am wondering if a dealership can do this or not but a lot of time I use the remote to lock the car instead of the button on the handle. I get the annoying horn instead of the pleasant, more legit "beep".

Can they either change the remote to the beep noise or just eliminate it all together?

There's no beep, just horn or silence and flashing signal lights. Press and hold the lock and unlock button on the remote when in range of the car to switch between them.

Very cool trick, silencing the horn. I'm going to have to try that.

Or you can just lock the car from inside before exiting

Also if you press the unlock button twice and then hold it down, it will roll all your windows down ( I know, I know - It's an old trick but you will be surprised how a lot of people don't know about this )

Using consult 3 you can chose what type of answerback you whant on lock/unlock the car.
You can select hazard answerback ON/OFF then you can select horn, beep or no answerback on second selection menu.
I set my car to give only hazard answerback on lock/unlock and beep answerback on opening the trunk (yes you can select answerback on trunk operation too, separatly from lock/unlock)

That consult 3 cheap clone was a good investment

NO!
You can activate/deactivate horn and beep separately with consult 3.

Today i just reprogrammed my AV unit using consult 3 because the unit got laggy and slow to response on navi. Also, from time to time, it got stuck on back-up camera even after i was driving forward.
I performed a accessory number intialization from AV unit service menu, then reprogrammed the unit via consult 3 and it luck's like the problem is solved.
