My friend owns a g37 sedan and I was helping him install an FM modulator, not too difficult, something I have done before on several cars, just not a g37. Somehow when we put everything back together, the shift lock will not release without manually pushing the shift lock override with a screwdriver, the speedo and tach don't work, and the hvac doesn't work at all.


Took everything apart, checked connections, they all seem fine. Checked fuses, none I found blown. Tried to check the relays under the hood and the ones for shift lock etc are actually not even in the location it says they are on the relay box, theres only one in the box at all for some reason?

What is a FM Modulator? What wires or general area did you do your work in? It may give us an idea so we can help you

 

OP I'm having this same exact issue right now. Been trying to fix for a week now. Tac/Speedo reads 0, shifter locked on start up, ac/radio controls dead. Ignition fuse 3 keeps blowing.

What did you do to fix it? Please I could really use some help

 

As in, to inject an aux signal into the radio (Like they used to do with CD players)? The G37 AM/FM antenna is powered so you'd have to isolate power from the radio with an aftermarket stereo adapter (they convert the Nissan plug into a standard barrel plug and give you a wire to tap into the proper power wire on the stereo).

If that isn't what you're trying to do, please explain more.
