I want a nice leather or leather looking holder and I can't find anything.
The closest thing I'd like to get doesn't exist anymore.
Here's what I wanted to get.

Registration and insurance card in my wallet (just a regular old beat up leather wallet) and a copy of my insurance in the glove box...

BB you just made me spit out coffee

The thought of this has been running through my mind for the past few months but I just don't see a necessity for it so I haven't pulled the trigger.

Search Amazon for "car registration wallet". IDK where I got mine, but it's a simple thing. Folded black plastic with a velcro dot clasp. Fits perfectly upright and flat in the center console armrest.

https://www.amazon.com/ESSENTIAL-Ins...tration+wallet

Or follow BB's advice, and use your dashboard gun-box. Ka-Pow!

I didn't realize we're supposed to keep the registration in the car. Would suck for it to get broken into and the thief discovers where you live.

I only keep the insurance card in the car. Home address is not printed on it.

I wasn't being funny. I just keep it in the glove box. Insurance, registration, inspection receipt (no more windshield sticker in TX), a mini flashlight, a couple of pens, some business cards, a tire gauge, and a spare phone battery. And of course the obligatory firearm since this is Texas after all.

I used to keep the insurance and registration in a vinyl/plastic holder. In the intense heat inside the car it kind of melted and stuck to the holder and pulled the paper to pieces when I tried to take it out. Now the papers are just loose in there to roam about as they please.

We should start a new thread - what do you keep in your glove box?

I think BB just did. The trick is not letting the thread turn into flame war about 2nd Amendment manhood.

I keep a LED flashlight in my glovebox, too. But it's a headband thingy. Quite coincidentally, it was BB who recommended it to me. Go figure.

Insurance info kept in the driver's sun visor elastic band. Registration (license tag) is a window sticker and one can't get that unless the car passed inspection. No need to keep anything else in the car in Texas
