I have not driven a Q50S

However when comparing my old G35x to a 2014 Q50 AWD, it was less "sharp" than the G.

When I compare my G37S to the Q50 AWD, its not as agile and direct as the G

I'm not a big fan of the interior as the dual screen takes attention away from the lack of attention to detail. I feel like they didn't know what to do with the interior and said "lets just put two huge screens in here to distract from the interior!"

Keep in mind, I take a long time to accept newly designed vehicles. I'm very interested in the 400hp Q50, this may be the next car I get...in a few years, once I've accepted the design.

RIP. I love my g37x, same colour as that advert and I don't think I'll ever let her go. Best 4 door sport sedan, daily/winter driver.

Although I sometimes cringe at Mr Rochester's 6MT elitism, think the G may be the last MT sports sedan from Japan. Lexus dropped off first, then Acura, Infiniti was the stalwart but not for long (and Nissan beat them to the punch, last MT in a 4-door was the Altima in 2007 I think?)

Only options on the new market seem to be from Germany, and only from BMW (3-series and M3)? Pretty sure B9 S4 is only AT. Don't think VW produces anything sporty enough with 4-doors. And MB dropped the MT a while back (in our market).

So discontinuation of the G (in 2013) was a bit monumental in a way

If you're saying that sometimes I lay it on a little thick, well.. you're not wrong. Sorry, Saint.

Chevy SS Extremely respectable car... bow-tie notwithstanding.

I think if my car bit the dust for whatever reason, I'd give the SS a very serious look. Or I might cast my net nation-wide for a pristine 2006 GTO 6MT in Cyclone Gray Metallic. Yes... Cyclone Gray Metallic, because I've actually given this more than a little consideration.

True, easy car to overlook (for me at least).

Wonder how a car with those specs would be perceived if it came from Japan or Germany...

Nobody would buy it if it came fro Japan (see above list of no longer available MT cars) or it would be from Germany, cost $10,000 more and have less than stellar reliability.

That being said, if I needed a new car tomorrow, I'd get a 335i. Hopefully I don't need a new car tomorrow.

....I feel like the IS-F would have an objection to this statement.

Know I'm in the minority (like most on the forums) but a 400HP+ V8 sedan with 6MT from Nissan, Toyota or Honda would certainly pique my interest.

Suppose you mean that carmakers are following market trend away from MT altogether, which is undeniable.

I had a pretty solid debate with a few friends of mines (some car enthusiast some not) and it's such a crazy revolution that MT are slowly dying in the market.

Some say it's due to the increase of traffic and the uncomfortably of driving an MT.
Some say it's manufacturing and enterprise cost ( to simplify the assembly line and reduce overall cost)
Some say it's the lack of human knowledge (we are to lazy to learn what is not necessary)

What's your thoughts to why they are killing The MT's in almost every car makers line?

BTW I picked up my 09 G37S 6speed sedan a few months ago and can't be happier! Long live the G!

^^I think this is prevalent in certain regions. In europe manuals are still very common/popular.

Driver education has a lot to do with it. If people would adhere to better following distances, mt driving would be more enjoyable.

I don't think these cars are keeping anywhere near a 2 s following interval. (click to zoom in).

Americans would rather have their hands and feet free to drink their Starbucks and update their Twitter account.
