Finally started the install on some new front suspension parts.

That is a nice garage.

Did you buy the lower control arms polished, or do it yourself ?

Selectively, maybe. But G37fan09 was cool, and I learned something.

So that happened.

And yeah, Adrian's garage (and his sedan) is freaking awesome. Wish I had even a fraction of that going on.

I plan to take my car to an auto show, I will definitely need that OCD for little details.

Here's something I just noticed. The license plate is already goofy, at what looks like a 10° angle off being perpendicular to level. I never noticed that before until today.

Seriously. Get up and go look at it.

Removed stock resonators

Today I removed my stock resonators and installed Vibrant 12” resonators to stock exhaust.

If for sale let me know

Hahaha... Nah, not for sale... They are just off the car while I'm working on the front suspension. And no plans to sell them... I'm still really fond of my Volks even after 8 years or so.

I've got a local guy that I use for the polishing. He's very reasonable. Think all of those parts were $125 to have polished.

Thanks so much, guys. It's been a lot of work so far, so all the nice comments are greatly appreciated. I've only been in the new house for a few months, so it's still a work in progress.

Any seriously, Rochester, your car is a beautiful piece of work too... plus it's a 6MT so that right there makes it something special!

You are correct about the angle of the rear license plate. I noticed that years ago when I installed my rear diffuser and the angle became even worse. I ended up actually adding a couple (maybe 1/4") spacers behind the top set of screws to help the plate to sit a little more level.

Can’t say that I agree on the toggle switch placement, but commend you on the DIY nonetheless.

Definitely agree, don't like the placement and the cover looks really out of place imo.

i agree as well I planned another spot but wasn't possible so I put it here might get a different switch or move it and get a new center what I was gonna do on the other side is the brake boost switch but then I saw it's better with a momentary switch so really messed with my plan live and learn always research more before pulling the trigger

EDIT: Hmmm maybe itll look betther with a black cover? not sure just was difficult with having that whole middle with switches there already where would you all put it?

A lot of people have put it inside the Center console, where the USB connection is. It’s hidden, and really doesn’t need to be more accessible than that.

i guess I could have put it there i just have a good amount of **** in my center so I thought why rummage around for a switch I might keep it for now where it is and just put a black cover to make it a bit less unsightly
I'll take this as a lesson from here on to plan better haha

I didn't read back for clues... other than accessibility, how is this switch difference from the TC switch on the dashboard?
