I have the same, but no alexa. Not a big fan of things blocking the windshield. I used a driveluxe 50 when I had my G. Mounted in lower left corner. The 65 was great in the honda as it was further away from the driver.

They have a new one out now, the DS86, 8" screen.

Best thing about either garmin is you can use basemap/mapsource to create your own route on the pc then have it guide you.

I remember trying to make a custom route in the past and it was a huge pain and even when I got it to guide me down the correct route and had a really weird title on it. It was also a little hard to select it once I put it in the unit. I remember the software for the route making was very buggy and confusing.

Well, after owning my G for over 4 years and having it paid off, I just ordered my Ark Grip catback for it. This has been a long time coming and I have wanted to get exhaust since I found this forum.

Good for you! I know what it's like to plan on something for the car that takes four years before it happens.

I started with garmin back in late 2007 or early 2008. The current software - basecamp, did not exist back then. There was something called mapsource. It still works with the current mapsets but requires map to already be installed on the pc. You can say it's a lighter version of basecamp. That came with a huge learning curve in terms of actually designing and shaping the route. Took me a few months to really get it down. At the time I was using the gps on the motorcycle only. Opened up lots of opportunities to ride the roads less traveled. I'd never find these with a paper route. For me, efficiency with mapsource comes with the fact that keyboard shortcuts exist and still work for main functions used in building a route. They sort of exist with basecamp, but don't quite work right. More clicking required. Also, basecamp seems very bloated.

Proper shape point (vias) placement is key to building a route that doesn't have you going around in circles. Need to zoom in close or let it snap to an intersection for best results.

The titles are usually auto generated based on start/end points and can be manually edited. If the route is round trip - ending point ends up at starting point, best to make that two routes. Also, important that mapset version on the pc matches that of the gps.

I had the old tint that came with the car when I bought it removed.

Autobahn i3 was added.

15% all around sides & rear. 70% windshield. All ceramic.

Just placed an order for FI CBE with 2.5" piping and 18" res. Tired of this exhaust leak on the Q300 (I figured out it's a flex pipe leaking).

I hope you weren't expecting the FI flex pipes to be any better, because there aren't any.

LOL, that was like 7 years ago. And the build window is precisely why I ordered mine over Winter back when that was happening.

You're going to be very happy.

There is a used one in the classifieds section being sold right now, not sure how close you are to the seller.

What did your Sedan do to you today?

Drove in a very hard rain today and had a puddle in the passenger floor board. I don't think it's the sunroof drain because I can keep it parked in the rain with no leaks. Not an AC leak because that hasn't been on all year. Could I have water coming in through the floor/wheel well?
