Question ; spare wheel and BBK.

My original spare wheel doesn't fit, according to the shop that did my bbk upgrade. I believe the spare for the rwd S is different from the awd xS.
I was wondering if the red S would fit with the stop tech calipers?

If you have the Stoptech 6 pot setup the S spare will clear, the Stoptechs should have better clearance than the Akebonos as the calipers aren't as close to the spokes. You might check for yourself how much room you need to clear your brakes, if it's just a couple mm you could buy a small spacer and put it in the trunk w/ the spare.

I had to purchase a rwd S spare from ebay. My original didn't clear the akebonos. I got lucky and picked one up for 125, but they usually are around 175-200.

You will need the spare out of the S to clear the Stoptechs or the Akebonos, If i'm not mistaken, the rim is too small to clear not just the caliper but the 14" rotor on the BBKs...I seem to remember a rule...14" = Minimum 18" wheel or something...

I got mine from this website: https://www.hollanderparts.com/ its an aggregater for all the junk yards across North America... cost me $50.00 shipped from Oregon to NY state (a lot of them ask $150-200.00 but you can call them and most will do a deal and sometimes they just post a low price and you can scoop up what your're looking for)

Thanks for the info on the spare and spacers. I may get the spare, doesn't feel right just buying a set of spacers for one wheel, I would want to put them on all 4s.

I got my spare a few weeks ago. Had the dealership do a test fit yesterday and its ok... i didn't take a pic of that and they didn't drive it, but they said it rotates with no issues.
