Fill Up rant

ARRGH!!, why does it take 15mins to fill up from half a tank.

I did search, and I found the answer.. Just wondering why no one has figured out how to fix it??

First time it happened im like my fuel gauge must be wrong, but it wasn't. smh
This time it took forever.. This is why I like always using the same pump.. lol

But at least I know what to expect.

On a different note, I did the LED lights on the interior, nice and bright.. Next will be the fog lights to match the regular lights.

Thanks for looking.. lol

Well, there is a couple of answers. Seems like the hose after the filler port is at a weird angle and if the pump flows too fast wit wont fill. They say try a different pump.
another answer is, since the tank is divided by by the driveshaft, it sometimes does not go over fast enough so it back up sometime, has to do with a valve.

there are some more answers there too.. I just dont remember at the moment.. lol

Honestly, every car I have owned I always set the pump to either the slowest fill rate notch or just hold the handle to fill at like 1/10 every 3/4 a second.

2 reasons: First, I know I'm getting the actual gas its putting in and not turning some to vapor when force feeding at a high flow rate. Second, its going to be siphoning from the holding tank much slower so as not to suck up any nasty crap at the bottom of the holding tank. You don't know how much is actually in there so if it's low and your just full blast pumping, you could suck up some of that nasty and put it into your tank.

I dunno, a few more minutes to atleast keep my mind at ease if good for me.

Kinda the same reason why you shouldn't pump when you see a truck filling the holding tanks. They just kicked up all of the sediment in the tanks.
