Congrats op. As far as winter tires go I would just put snow tires on your 18" stock wheels and then but a set of coupe 19" for your summer wheels.

I thought Choman, Kevin, had a 6mt blue slate? Could be wrong.

You're not wrong. And his is/was a 2010 model.

Thanks for the link, will for sure have to pm them. Would have to drive up to NYC but wouldn't be so bad, especially for the price.
Been well over 14 years now but they were solid all around. Loved it b/c they filled up the gas tank with every service. So I always took the car in on E. I was a poor grad student then

Sweet deal!

I'll be shopping for an S within a year or so. I've got a 2011 X model and love it...but the X series is harder to modify as it's a lower production run and requires special parts in some cases which don't fit on the RWD models.

In addition, 2012 was the first year they switched to the metal timing chain cover, so I have this voice in the back of my head nagging me to get out of this car before I become a statistic.

You paid a little more for your 2012 S than I did for my 2011 X a year ago. Awesome deal for sure.

I recently bought a 2007 Miata, and I've been driving it more than the sedan (25mpg vs 18). It's helping me keep my miles down and saving some money too.

Awesome car you found yourself. Congrats. I did look at two g coups in Virginia when I was looking for one, it was difficult to find a 6mt close to me. I did drive the Saab down to Georgia and up to Pennsylvania to just find one in my backyard of North Carolina. Still have the Saab and currently in Florida with it @ 153K miles on it.

But that itch to drive the g is always there

I bought the same car 2 years ago. Put on Winter tire package from Tire rack with X-Ice and cheap set of rims all in for about 1200. 130 per rim. Because Enkle (sp?) are staggered on the S model, I opted for a non staggered set of winter rims (I just remove the bolt on the front wheels). They clear the brakes and work just fine all winter long. My car is a manual too so that helps with the winter driving. I can't remember if all G37S models are Manual only in RWD format. I know the G37Xs is automatic. Anyway, it has all worked out for me up here in NH even with one of the worst winters on record last year. My car never got stuck last year.
