Five years ago I was searching hard for a G35 coupe. I had been working for Nissan and the car was my dream. However, a job came up and I had to buy a car rather rapidly, so I bought a Chrysler Crossfire. A decent trade off! The Crossfire was a fantastic car to own for five years and just a great car.
Fast forward to two months ago when a drunk driver totaled the XF. Cut down in her prime! Well, I went back into Infiniti mode and after literally the worst car search experience ever, I'm very happy to be a part of the Infiniti family with a 2013 Vibrant Red, manual, G37S with 19k on the clock! I'm in love with it! Definitely taking a little getting used to, as the XF was half the size and the weight of a feather, but I am very excited.
So here's the question: What do I do now? I'm not insanely eager to mod it (It's a CPO so I probably won't go crazy yet) but I've been trolling the forum trying to find some fun little things to do to the car. Anyone have any suggestions for things to do? CAIs? Exhaust? Silver radio dials? Front splitter? What do you think?
On e3phung's suggestion: One thing I would like to do is maybe get a slightly faster throttle response - but I also have not reset the ECU yet, that's on the list.

welcome. beauty sounding G37S there, and as a '13 MY the last of the breed. as a 6MT sedan owner i can imagine what your search was like - i bought mine used as well.
the 6MT sedan is a great platform to start with, and we get all the meaningful performance upgrades from the factory. that said, you'll hear a lot about:
- sway bars
- summer tires (michelin PSS seem to get the most votes)
- vinyl wrap chrome trim
- RJM clutch pedal assembly
- front chin lip (great to see you already have the subtle OEM trunk lip)
- carsmo brushed aluminum stereo *****
- OEM midnight black grille, or painted grille
- debadge INFINITI letters on trunk
- coupe 19" wheels
- lowering springs
- and the list goes on...
decide what your priorities are and work from there. performance or aesthetics?
and yes, doing the easy ECU reset is a no brainer. do it.

So you know the struggle to find one of these babies! Man, I was searching all over the country and ended up finding one nearly in my backyard. They are tough to come by! Definitely a unique car though. Even in the week I've had it people keep seeing it or getting and going "oh it's a manual!?" Which I love
Thanks for all the tips! I've always been a bit more of a subtle performance guy. I don't need a growler, just something to surprise those Audi guys from time to time =) (Not that there's anything wrong with Audis! Almost bought an A5!)
Take your time, research things like crazy, schedule and prioritize... and you can slowly mod that car year over year for the entire time you own it. Go spend a few hours with the Build Threads forum.
Some very affordable mods for you that I'd recommend based on experience: RJM Clutch Pedal Assembly, and aftermarket Swaybars.

A unicorn eh? I guess the wait and search was worth it! I'll definitely look into all of those. Especially the clutch as this one is taking a little getting used to.

We'll hook up if there's another east coast Sedan meet-up in 2016. IDK if that's going to happen next year, but we've had two already these last couple of years. It depends on who organizes it and the location.
And if you're ever thinking a 3-4 hour road-trip is worth the effort for hands-on research with another modified 6MT sedan... you're welcome here.
First things first. Detail the living filth out of it. Spending 18-24 hours detailing a car is not unreasonable IMO if you want it done right. No better way to get to now your car too. If you aren't an experienced detailer and what some advise on products, tools and techniques let me know and I'll be happy to help you.
Doing that right will make your car stand out.
Also prioritize your goals.
Aesthetics
Engine Mods
Chassis Mods
Wheels/Tires
Etc.
I think working on one area at a time is easier and you get more out of the process. Modding is an addiction though so proceed with caution.
VR 6mt? what does the VR means... I've read this before i don't remember where....(maybe wikipedia lol)... probably is one of the most basic thing this car is.
I would definitely do some black gloss vinyl wrap for the chrome window trim. Aesthetically it is probably one of the best if not the best and cheapest things you can do to change the appearance in a big way
