New G37 sedan owner - Tips, advice and suggestions?

Hello,

I am a new member and a new Infiniti G37x Sedan owner. I purchased 2012 G37x with 29.5k miles. Compare to my previous vehicle, this one is so much better. I love the AWD in it and that 3.7l V6 engine. I've got tired of driving manual tranny, now this is my first car with Auto transmission. In the city it sucks having manual.

What would be some of the suggestions you'd recommend me? maintenance wise, modifications and gadgets.

At the moment its all full stock, no modifications. Going to tint the windows this week that way it would look nicer Thinking of doing all 15% tint.

Also, I do get vibration from my front rotors and it's time to have them replaced. Any suggestions on the brand I can get? I don't race or anything so I am not looking for sporty rotors and breaks. If stock OEM is the best choice, where can I purchase them online and put them on myself?

I didn't get to take the pictures yet but here's the one dealer has taken. Downloaded from mobile phone, sorry pretty small image. Will update once get a chance.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site!
As far as brakes, check rockauto.com and look for Centric Premium rotors, and for low dust Centric Posi Quiet ceramics are a good choice or Stoptech Street Pads for more bite but more dust.

Awesome! I'll check them out. For normal driving, is it better to have stock rotors or those ones?
Thanks!

Those rotors are also blanks (not slotted &/or drilled) but have better venting and have a protective black finish on the hat and outside edge for rust prevention. Should perform better than OEM when driven hard.

One of my favorite mods to date is wrapping the chrome window trim in gloss black. Gives the car a much sportier look.

Carsmo stainless steel radio & A/C *****. An easy mod you can admire every time you're driving.

Yes that's the only mod on my G. It's very nice and match the panel perfectly. A bit cold to touch during the winter but so far not a problem at all.

That's great info for me too. First time buying rotors/pads online. As far Centric Premium rotors, I can't tell they're selling the rotors in pair or a single rotor per order. I assume each order is for one rotor only?

That's nice! Could you please link me the ones which would fit g37x? It's a bit confusing while some say RWD and AWD but don't know if those fit both.
Thanks!

That's something I wanted to do. Which vinyl or what product would work the best for it? There's just too many choices for that.

I need to replace my rotors/pads too. This is what I have put to the cart:

Rotor-rear: CENTRIC 12042093 Premium x2

Rotor-front: CENTRIC 12042080 Premium x2

Pad-rear: CENTRIC 10509051 Posi-Quiet Ceramic w/Shims and Hardware-Preferred x2

Pad-front: CENTRIC 10413460 Posi-Quiet Metallic w/Shims and Hardware x2

Total is $298.32 before shipping. Are the all correct?

Looks like that is it. Now only my front rotors are really bad. It would be weird if I replace just the front ones with black rotors. Still unsure how I want to do this haha. The breaks still got around 10k miles before I'd need them replaced. I might just have the front rotors sanded that will be good for at least 6-8k miles then I'd replace the whole thing front and rear.

Here's the DIY, and a 1ftx5ft. piece of 3m Scotchprint 1080 gloss black vinyl will match the center pillars perfectly (they are vinyl wrapped from the factory)

FlyIce, what year and model is your G? Those rotors you posted are mis matched, one is for a sedan, the other a coupe.

Thanks for pointing it out. Mine is 2010 G37x sedan. I guess the rear rotors should be "CENTRIC 12042088 Premium"?
