I'm DIYing footwell LED's to complement the rest of the car at night. Just need to wait for stores to re-open Saturday as I need to get some wire taps, but besides that all the prep work is done.
For xmas wifey got me the new Q40. For the new ride I plan to get Stillen License plate bracket and Carsmo ***** to begin with. I will do swaybars probably 1st quarter 2016. Need to get some Lexol too and maintain the leather from early on.
My wife got me P21 100% pure carnauba and nano skin lubricant for my new Q40. I used up my Pinnacle Sovereign and detail mist. I know, very romantic.
They sent the wrong item and I ended up with polish soap instead.
I asked them to overnight me the correct item. We'll see. They should let me keep the soap., right?
I've clay barred with Pinnacle super fine, Klasse AIO, Kalsse sealant, carnauba, 303 aerospace. After six months I used the nano skin and the rest.
I just wanted to do a wash and another coat of carnauba but they jacked me.
I already got floor mats for my floor mats. Now all I need is sway bars, tint, wheels, tires, spacers, coil-overs, camber kit, brakes, wrap, diffuser, splitter...

"Virtually all car leathers of today (anything made in the last 15-20 years depending on manufacturer and car) will be finished with a clear protective coating for added durability and ease of care.
This means that you are not actually dealing with natural leather, but a natural leather that has been coated with a synthetic clear coating.
For this reason, I am of the professional opinion that keeping your car's leather upholstery clean is the most important factor in maintaining its original beauty and health. Most of you will, or have become overly concerned with conditioning your car leather at the expense of actually keeping it clean.
Any dressing or conditioner will be mostly superficial and temporary in nature, and will mostly be for cosmetic reasons to create added shine and an added level of smoothness to the touch."

Brand new seat leather - What product would you use to protect it? - Page 3 - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum
Most modern leather seats are coated with vinyl. You're not treating leather but a plastic coating.
There's a lot of information on this. You might find it interesting.

I actually did know that about the leather which is why I use the 303 Aerospace on it. Matte finish and not too slippery when wiped completely dry
Sort of one-stop-shopping with the 303; works on most everything. Plastic, rubber, etc. Alway used it on my boat.

I love 303.
I've been eyeing the black oem grille for a long time now but I don't want to spend 300+ on it. I've seen nothing but coupe versions on eBay go for 200. Anyone out there with info? It would be much appreciated fambs

Thanks for the info provided above. Sounds like I need to just get a good cleaner for the leather instead of conditioning it. I will read through it in more detail later on. Any products you would recommend that you have had a good experience with on the leather?
I have enlarged the throttled bodies and I am waiting for the Upper intake manifold from Z1Motorsports (they are out of stock currently). Once I get it I will put them all together.
