door seal (weather stripping)

Hi all, any help would be appreciated.
On several occasions I have tried reseating the rear door seal on my 2012 sedan. Its the one that attaches to the upper chrome area of the door which seals against the upper jamb of the car body. There is one spot that continually works itself loose which I wonder is because I don't fully/properly reseat it each time I try to. The seal isn't damaged or stretched, and it would seem easy enough to take care of but I must be missing something.
Thanks in advance.

Had the same issue on our 07 but not on our 09. Tried time & again to get it to seat properly, seemed like it was good and just kept popping loose in that one area. The dealer was able to make it right since it was under warranty, might just take it in and see what they say, otherwise it may drive you crazy.

The dealer is certainly an option. Talking to a couple friends about this, I got the idea of using either a few dabs of silicone or double sided tape at the base of the seal so it won't dislodge as easy. It wouldn't surprise me if this is all the dealer would do.

If I understand correctly, this was the same issue I had on my 04 and 13. To fix, i wait for it to get warm, push it into place, and then I stretch/push the entire seal away from where it normally pops loose. Down, then to the side, away from the problem area. The delaer actually showed me how to do this long ago, and I now check them every week when I wash/dry the car.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to give that a try.

That seems to be the trick, and is working so far. Thanks!
