Wiper Fluid Pump installation

My wiper fluid pump is not working. I know this because I had someone listen for it while trying to use it. It did nothing and didn't make a sound like it was trying to pump.

Now I know that the part is about $15 bucks at autozone. I also know the location of the pump. I am wondering if you need to remove the front bumper to do the removal and installation. I'm hoping that you don't. It would make my life that much easier.

Thanks in advance.

Josef

I know the dealership didn't pull my bumper to do mine, but I don't know if that helps you.

I'll have to jack the car up and look again. I looked when i did my oil change and it looked like it was pretty hard to get to.

Thank you

Actually how much did it cost for you to get that fixed at the dealership?

It was under warranty. When I get home I'll see if I can find the receipt and if it was itemized.

I replaced my entire washer reservoir a couple years ago after a huge ice chunk fell off a truck, slammed under the bumper and cracked it ($140 part BTW YIKES). I changed it without removing the bumper, I removed the plastic guard under the front end and had plenty of access.

I found the paperwork. They fixed it under warranty. I thought the paperwork had the price it would have cost, but it does not. Sorry.

Download the FSM, it's stickied in the sedan main page. Here's the directions from the WW section page 86.

So I replaced the pump. No joy. It's still not working. Could there be a bad relay causing the issue?
