Is the 30k mile service that expensive even in a Nissan dealership?

Good afternoon everyone. I ha e a 2013 G37 Journey 7 Speed automatic with 36k mile at the moment. To make a long story short, the service adviser at a Nissan dealership recommended me to bring in my car for a 30k service. He told me it is the first major maintenance interval and the next major one at 60k. He quoted me around $600+ because there would be a lot of work involved. I am not very mechanically inclined and I want some opinions and suggestions. The infiniti dealership is 5 hours away and I heard they that they would charge me much more than Nissan. I bought the car at 27k miles and changed my oil every 3k miles. Over all the car runs very well. The only concern I have is that the car squeels every time I use the brakes. Thanks in advanced.

At that mileage, all the fluids should be refreshed, engine/cabin filters replaced. Brakes examined. If you plan on keeping the car a long time, I'd change the trans fluid too, otherwise I'd do all other fluids.

Bring the car to your favorite independent shop for the actual work.
