Sedan Specific Takeda CAI question...

Hey dudes,

I just ordered a takeda (coupe) CAI for my sedan. On the AFE website, it says "does not fit sedan" but I have seen several sedans with them on. For those of you who have installed them, have you had fitment issues or bumper fitment issues?

Let me know what you've found out so I can be prepared for my install. Thanks!

Shoot a PM to ANMVQ if he doesn't reply to this thread, he's got them on his sedan.

This may help you; When I ordered mine for my sedan, the part# was TA-3016P

If your order contains the same part number, you should feel confident it will fit. I bought mine off eBay.

Good luck!

it fits fine, if you get the splash shield it may rub the back of your grill though. I have had mine on my 2010 g sedan for about a year now with no issues, even in heavy rain.

Doesn't Connoisseur have the Takeda long-tube in his Sedan? I didn't know AFE intended that for the Coupe only. I also didn't know there was a fitment issue with the splash shield. Damn.

Straight from AFE - I can't share price publicly but i will PM you.

You should be able to hear an aftermarket exhaust with an intake. THere's no reason that it will over power it.

Not necessarily for coupe only, just they haven't confirmed that it fits the sedan properly. I am actually their guinea pig and am supposed to do a review with pics and any install problems i run into.

I had to cut a small piece of plastic on the back side of my grille for my splash shield to fit.

From: Framingham Ma,
I wonder if the guys with the splash shield problem have the pipes pushed to far though the radiator support? Mine doesn't rub at all. Or do you guys not have the bumper bracket done?

Mine fit with no issue and I have the bumper bracket in. It's like you said, just need to take the time with the install.
