How about the reliability of Q40(new G37)? AWD($31717) or RWD($30256)

I have test driven Q40 and feel good. However, Since Q40 is a new model(similar model as old G37), I am not sure about the reliability. Could any specialists here give me some suggestions about its reliability?
In addition, my home town rarely rains and all of my previous cars are 2WD. However, the prices for AWD and RWD in AutoPriceShare program are similar(only 1500 dollars difference). Should I choose the AWD version? Thanks in advance

The Q40 is the same car as the G37, except the badging. The Q40 is not a new model, it has been around in the form of the G37 sedan for almost a decade. Anything you find for reliability referencing the the G37, will also apply for the Q40. The car is very reliable and used OEM parts are readily available, along with healthy aftermarket options.

If you need AWD, buy it. If your weather doesn't necessitate AWD, save yourself a couple MPGs, some money, and extra parts to maintain and choose the RWD model.

sometimes I wonder why I even bought AWD. I have an SUV for god sake....but then I tell myself, what if the SUV is not available? I guess I am always planning for the worst.

If you live in a place with inclement weather, I suspect the AWD will maintain better resale value.

It's not full time AWD anyways. When there isn't a need for AWD the car operates in RWD mode.

I have a subscription to Consumer Reports online and I just checked...Ryne is correct. Same model, same reliability (which is very good), same everything, just rebadged. Welcome to the club!
