Best Adhesive Remover (Debadging), 3M Illegal

Whats up guys. So as some of yall might know and probably most of you DONT know.. I just bought a 2011 G37S and I would like to debadge the back. I am going to use the floss and heatgun process, but I need a guaranteed adhesive remover that will work perfect with no left over adhesive.

The 3M Adhesive Cleaner ( I saw in a video and they said it says it is safe on paint ) is for some reason banned in California probably due to a few chemicals it contains.

But what are good alternative choices that will for sure work and also have no chance of damaging the car / paint. Thanks

EDIT: I know I can google a whole bunch and pick and choose from there, but rather have some suggested by other G owners who had success. Thanks

I've just ordered the 3M remover and I've used Goo Gone. GG takes a little more muscle but you'll get it done.

+1 Goo gone, just let the goo gone soak for a good 5 mins or so. You can also use a good compund to clear up any imperfections followed buy a good polish/wax

Fishing line and hair-dryer... not a heat gun. OMG.

After the badges are off, just rub into the remaining adhesive with your fingers and roll it off. However, Goo Gone can help with that. Once you're done, a light polishing compound, and wax. Should look good as new.

You might be over-thinking this a bit.

For wax, Meguiars Carnauba Plus paste wax... that's been my choice for the last 3 years.

Like $11 at Walmart.

I'm a big fan of Goof Off. Hands down the best for me. Once when I ran out of Goof Off, I bought some Goo Gone and hated it. It doesn't seem like it actually removes anything.

I read too much about goof off sayin it's bad and damages the paint. I've been reading goo gone works the best, and if there is leftover, use some wd40?

Use an eraser wheel. goes on the end of your drill and is safe for paint. I did the entire side moulding on my wifes yukon with one.
