Salesmen receiving Infiniti Q50S AWD

Went to Infiniti of Clarendon Hills and saw in the showroom this Q50 with what looked like Stillens front lip, diffuser and exhaust. I took a picture and heard someone tell me this is their car and is receiving it next week. He told me that being one of the top 10% of Infiniti salesmen in the US, Infiniti buys them a vehicle. I asked if all of these aftermarket parts are from Stillen and he confirmed that they were. Then he said that this particular one has the 550hp Supercharged Stillen package and was amazed that Infiniti would buy something like that for an employee. Started telling me 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and what not and I asked if I could see the engine (forgot to take a picture). All I saw inside were Stillen's Gen V2 intakes and seemed confused if this guy was joking or serious but proceeded to tell me the intakes were blowers for the supercharger and I just continued to say yup makes sense lol. Asked other employees and all said yeah its not supercharged but no one tells him that it is! That will be quite a heartbreak!

The salesmans name was Greg but cannot recall his last name. I had come in to get the car washed from the remaining salt that was on it. Was beyond shocked of how serious he was telling me all of this info!

I saw it in the showroom when picking up our CPO G last weekend, nice car even without the superhargers. I was having a really hard time keeping my wife away from those beautiful QX80's too.

Usually when I'm waiting I will walk around the showroom and 99% of the time no salesmen will come up to me and say if there is anything they can help me with. But this guy came up to me to tell me about his car lol

I was having trouble with people taking me seriously when I was trying to buy my G. No one would ask me if I needed help or anything. I didn't get it.

I dropped my G off at service around 6:30 and walked around the showroom and spotted the car. It looks REALLY nice. Good to see a dealer installing aftermarket parts.

There was not ONE sales rep on the floor when I was walking around. I was also checking out a QX60 to replace the G. No one stopped over. I wonder if they see you coming from the Service area, they don't even bother. I love their Service Department, but I would probably buy from Naperville again and go back to Clarendon Hills for service.

^ i was wondering the same. so the story is the top 10% of Infiniti sales associates gets the title to a new Infiniti? i doubt it. on what frequency? yearly? that's a lot of cars Infiniti would be handing out. without knowing detailed numbers (eljoker probably knows more), let's say there are 200 US dealerships each with 8 sales associates. that's 1600 total US sales people. 10% of that is 160, each getting a new car "bought by Infiniti" at an average of $45000 invoice/burdened cost (just a guess). that comes to $7,200,000 in free vehicles. quite the incentive program!

we all know that certain dealership staff receive "executive demo models", or something similar. my guess is that this is the case here. they get a new model to drive for ~ 1 year and then they get a newer model the next year as long as their performance meets whatever metric is used. so the salesman in question, let's call him the Donald Trump of Infiniti, will get a demo to use for a while. Infiniti is not giving him a car.

either way - nice ride.
