Rebate on Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil

I came across this deal earlier that may benefit some of you guys.

Mobil 1 is offering a $12.00 rebate when you purchase 5 quarts of synthetic oil. Walmart sells the 5-quart jugs for about $28.00; after rebate is $16.00. Or you can get a $15.00 rebate if you buy 5 quarts and a Mobil 1 filter.

Sounds like a great deal, but are you sure Walmart is on board with participating in it? They aren't listed in on the Participating Retailers list, and I didn't see any mention of it on their website.

It says "SOME participating retailers include..." This doesn't necessary eliminate Walmart as one because it is not on the list. And I personally don't think a company like Mobil 1 would deny a $12.00 rebate over something this petty. What they really want is a returning customer.

I just submitted my claim for a purchase I made anyways from AutoZone. They are not specified as a participating retailer either. I will post an update when they accept/decline my rebate.

Ryne, how much did you pay for your oil at AutoZone?

Mobil 1 Synthetic and Mobil Oil Filter $34+tax

So if I receive a $15 rebate, the whole bundle would have cost me $19+tax

This should work at Costco too then. They were just having a sale on their 6 quart cases. I think they were like 27 bucks after the sale discount, so this would make it 15 bucks for 6 quarts.

I saw this sale at Costco too. However, I'm not sure this promotion is still valid.

According to the terms, it should only come down to whether or not Costco is a participating retailer.

Sorry, what I meant to say is that I'm not sure if the sale at Costco is still running. They were offering $10.00 off the 6 quart case two weeks ago.

If there are any diesel truck owners here I'll add WalMart has gallon jugs of Rotella T6 5W-40 (full synthetic) marked down from $22.xx to $19.47 and there are $5 mail-in rebates stickers attached to each jug.

I believe some Subaru owners and sport bike riders use T6 Rotella in their gasoline engines. Rebate envelope has to be postmarked by March 31st.

OK, yeah you are right, it looks like the Costco sale ended last month; so, Wallyworld it is!
