will this fit my Sedan?

Hi guys,

I am new here and kinda new to G as well. I just bought my G and plan to do some beginner mod. I have a nooby question. will this fit my 2013 G37 Sedan? I researched a bit and found all the instructions and videos that this part is only for coupe.

Megan Racing Axle Back Exhaust - K-Spec Racing - racing performance & tuning - air intakes, headers, exhaust, brakes, springs, coilovers, suspension Part # MR-ABE-IG372D

Thanks so much for your help!!!

For reference, here's how the cans look on a sedan. As you can see, they're separate, versus both pipes coming from a single muffler. Some other manufacturers like Fast Intentions offer separate cans for the coupe, so be sure you confirm fitment before purchase.

For axle back, I went with Tanabe. It's the one in the above picture. It is hardly noticeable inside the car with the windows up, but it is definitely louder than stock on the outside. Many people here say it is the quietest muffler for the G. They can be had used for around $400 or less, or $600 new. They're easily installed at home with the help of a buddy. I got mine knocked out in maybe 30 min to an hour. It's the perfect sound for me.

There are a number of full cat back exhaust systems, but they're more $ and louder. I didn't want too loud. If you want loud and cheap, I recommend just removing removing the factory mufflers and running a muffler delete. It's free of you just have the exhaust open, but exhaust gasses may get in the cabin. You can always pay a muffler shop to just add some pipes and use the factory tips coming out of the back, so it'll look like factory, but sound loud. I did it for a week before installing the Tanabes. The sound is pure racecar and awesome, but it was a bit loud for me. I was definitely surprised how nice and clean it sounded; not ricey at all. If our cars had 450hp+, the sound would fit the power.

Search youtube for tanabe g37 sedan and there are several videos of the sound with Tanabes. Also search for g37 sedan muffler delete- I believe Baily Brewster or something like that has several videos of the delete sound and it shows how the shop just replaced the muffler with pipes and added the factory tips to it.

I think there's a full Stillen catback for sale in the classified for $650.

Thank you for your detailed information!!! Really appreciate it! It really opened my eyes. For the muffler delete, doe is avoid factory warranty if I remove stock muffler and install some other pipes? is that reversable?

I'm 99% sure you wouldn't have any issues with warranty with a muffler delete. All you're doing is removing something that muffles the sound. I read up on the muffler delete in general and from my understanding, some old cars may have needed a muffler for back pressure or something like that, but nowadays they just reduce the sound. If you do the muffler delete like baily brewster, I imagine all you'd have to do is have the same shop re-weld the factory tips back to the factory mufflers and all should be back to normal. That baily dude is a member here and has some posts about it; I think I remember his tag saying he's from Houston. Do some searching to find out who he is and just PM him about it. Before I'd even consider calling a shop and asking about it, just go out and unbolt your factory mufflers. It'll take 15 minutes. There are 3 bolts per muffler and they just twist right off. One bolt holding the muffler to the rest of the exhaust and the other two are just mounting bolts to hold the muffler in place. It is way easier than you'd imagine, and if you don't like it, you can just bolt it back on with no harm, no foul.
