Brevard County, Florida I-95 North 3 fatalities car accident

For anyone in Brevard County or anyone in Florida or anyone who has heard the news for that matter about the car crash last night in Melbourne, FL Exit 195 on I-95 North at approximately 1:20am, I along with my friends was the first witness of a fatal very tragic accident that all started with a recklessly driven (at excess of 100mph) which I thought it was a G37 sedan from Massachusetts but news claim otherwise as an 08 which would make it a G35 (idk I was very tired after driving for about 8h from Key West) regardless of that here is one of many news articles with a bit more info on injured and stuff

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/n...rash/21264095/

but they got the whole story twisted upside down with how the crash happened.. So here is a brief summary of what I also commented on few of the articles to clear things up

" Me and my friends witnessed this first hand as we were few hundred yards behind the Infiniti G37 who was driving at speeds in excess of 100-110 mph at times, he then lost control of the vehicle, spun out and hit the center concrete median and bounced back off the wall and slid further down the middle lane of I-95 North right by Exit 195 ramp, We approached literally seconds after we saw lots of smoke and sparks, I pulled the car over on the very far right in the grass and was the first one to call it in, while in the meantime when I was one the phone reporting the accident, few other cars rammed into this Infiniti and then into one another since it was very dark and they couldn't react in time to avoid the crashed/spun out infiniti causing a huge very tragic accident"

I don't like to get involved and rat people out but we followed few articles of that crash and it seemed like they didn't even have a credible witness who could shed some light on what happened out of all those people that pulled over right after us. So I had contacted one of that area's highway patrol troopers to shed some light on the story and tell them what we have seen happened...

All in all... I have never seen an accident like this, R.I.P to the deceased elders in the Hyundai that struck the G and got struck by a Camry, that car was a sandwich and the 3 out of 4 people in it were sisters that died an exit away from home...

Before you post any stupid remarks, that have nothing relevant to this, remember it is 3 lives we are talking about that were taken away because of someone's very inconsiderate wrong doings...

True tragedy when reckless behavior takes innocent lives, seems like it's rarely the one initiating the recklessness that ultimately pays for it
Glad you were able to shed some light on the incident but too bad you had to witness it firsthand. I'm sure the memories will be hard to ignore.

Exactly Brad... Well said and yeah when I still talk about all the details with my friends that witnessed it with me, it still gives me goose bumps... I'm still shaken up afterwards, and I couldn't drive anymore after the accident, it wouldn't take much and we could have been involved too if the distance was shorter and there wasn't much time to react especially on a very dark stretch of I-95... The memories will be very hard to be forgotten.

It was terrible as I was afraid for ourselves as well as other people who got right out in the middle of the highway to check on the G while few cars BARELY flew by without ramming into them but the others weren't so lucky :// car parts flying everywhere and big boom few times.

Terribly tragic. It's why we fuss at people who brag about their excessive speed.

In all seriousness, make sure you take care of yourself too. It can be just as traumatic for you to have witnessed this.

horrible. I was driving back from Florida to Chicago and people were just driving down right careless. Waaaaaay to fast to even be safe. Especially north of Indianapolis, there were atleast 10-15 cars in ditches

Just drove back to New Jersey from Florida on I95
Some vehicles that passed me were doing between 90 and 100 usually large SUV's

All along I95 both north and south are markers with crosses and flowers where many have died
Some try to drive non stop and fall asleep at the wheel
Others are just A holes obsessed with performance at WOT
Unfortunately the police can't catch them all

Well good thing is, I didnt walk up to the car especially with the 3 dead people in it, because I would have traumatized for a long time, but am still a bit shaken up, I didn't get to go to check on those people from the G because
1) it was very dangerous at the time to go out to the middle of I-95 and check up on them and
2) By the time I finished maybe 20 second phone 911 phone call, few cars flew by just BARELY making it past by the G and the 2 other cars were already involved, and by that time there were many people helping out and some Fire Department guy seeking anyone with medical experience.

It all happened to fast...

Wow really? well what a coincidence, I was on my way back up to NJ too... did you see any crosses or markers by exit 195 ramp on by Northbound lanes or shoulder?

Here is a picture of the location with quick paint edit

Can't quite remember if that location is two lane in each direction or three
There are still parts of I95 in Florida that are still two lanes with portions under construction
with lane shifts.

This area was with three lanes but several miles ahead of that (going north) was two lanes and then several miles after that was two lanes again. I was surprised to see 2 lanes only at times as well too!

The lady in the Hyundai that survived lives behind my mom in Cocoa and I talked to one of her sons and he said that she's blessed. She is critical but stable. It's crazy I live in Nashville now and read about the accident then to find out someone I know was involved is crazy.

Wow.. Yeah I saw bunch of people removing her from the car minutes after, even before ambulances and fire department got there. She's definitely blessed to have made it out.. Send my prayers to her please
