Tires and battery and wheel bearing...oh my...
Took it in to have a few things checked...
1) seemed to be turning over a bit slow after sitting overnight. Dealer checked battery - was about 1 week before it's 3 year anniversary. Got a new battery. Price was right: free.
2) I asked for a sanity check on tire noise...were the tires just getting very noisy, or was something else awry? Well - front / drivers side wheel bearing/hub was replaced (again...warranty). AND - I was told the rear tires were at around 4/32nd. REALLY? They only had 6k miles on them...
So...made it to Discount Tire today (where I purchased the tires) - had them look at the tires. Michelin PSS. Nice..even wear - but way, way too much wear for the mileage. So - new set tomorrow - @$230 per minus $170 credit per tire. We'll see how this set wears....next will try the A/S 3s...assuming I still have the car (I think that is the plan these days!). What kind of wear are you guys getting out of the PSS?
Anyway...I think I'm set for a while now
Very happy with the dealer visit....I've had ups and downs with them...this one was an 'up'.

I wasn't aware they allotted for mileage when buying new/replacement tires.
Btw, sounds like you have a decent Infiniti dealership that you go to. I just hope mine is good whenever the time comes to visit them for problems. They sure aren't shy about hitting me up for a super expensive 30K mileage service that I have coming up. $650 ---- really?
$170 credit per tire? What is this?

Another example: my daughter's car (06 Mazda3) had Continental Extreme Contact DWS. They have a 50,000 warranty - but my daughter only got @35,000 miles before they hit 3/32nd....so she got a $54 credit x 4. She picked up a set of Michelin Pilot A/S 3. We'll see how they work out...
This assumes they have been rotated regularly (non-staggered) and can be proven as such...so free balance & rotation ever 6000 miles helps.
I'm at 17k on the AS3s and the rears are almost gone. I'll maybe get 2-3k more before replacing them. Fronts are wearing fine and will last much longer. I'm very disappointed with the tread life since I'm a conservative driver. This is the wear I got out of the original summer tires. BTW ...I got 35k out of Bridgestone 970s which was my last set of tires before the AS3s. The michelins perform better, but aren't worth twice the price (factoring in the low mileage).

Good Luck...

I put just under 5K miles on a brand new set of PSS in 2014, and after taking them off for winter, the tread is still deep and even... and that's with camber well out of specs. Honestly, I'm somewhat surprised, but very content. Looking forward to two more years; (assuming continued low mileage).

Something is amiss with the OP. If the tread wear is even, then I suspect someone is driving their car hard all the time, instead of just once in a while. Whatever the case, he sure has a good relationship with the tire store and the dealership. We should all be so fortunate.
No issues with alignment (checked and double checked) - wear was even. And car mostly drives to & fro work...not tracked...never...not even once. I may accelerate faster than the traffic flow, but not sure that classifies as aggressive. Note - the traction control is always on.
BUT - more than one of the guys at Discount Tire told me 'could have been a bad batch of tires'. Not the first time they have seen it. Go figure...

And really, you should turn TC off once in a while and push your car a little harder. Particularly with PSS. It's fun.
Well then, so much for my assumptions. IDK, man. 6000 miles isn't enough to kill any tire when it's all just a 9-5 commute on pavement with proper air pressure. It doesn't make sense. Unless you're a habitual tail-gater, because excessive braking is hard on tires, too.

And about the TC..lol...I'm old (and boring?) now
My '06 350zr did not have stability control...it used to go tail-out in simple wet weather. Fun on occasion - scare the crap out of me on other occasions.
Yup...they said they'd work with me on replacements. I guess all the money Michelin is spending these days is on advertising. I'll probably just replace the rears then may go with something else once the fronts wear out.
Yup - that is what I just did yesterday...the rear tires are now new PSS. I am guessing all 4 will reach EOL together now...at least that is the hope.
I'm also old and boring these days, but just because I'm over 50 doesn't mean we can't have fun with the car now and then. I suspect you're much the same, otherwise you wouldn't have put tires like that on the car, or bought the car configured with the RWD-Sport package.
