Let's see your knob
While you're at it, I'd love it if someone figured out a good way to leather wrap the parking brake handle. There isn't much room to work with, and the Leather on the shift boot doesn't seem an easy thing to match.
You're very welcome. Happy to pay it forward.
That looks really good. Particularly the concentric grooves at the top, it just works with the lines in the dash. Ti or SS? Looks like Ti.
That machined top is so freaking sexy, isn't it? My teardrop **** has the same milled look. The guy at LatheWerks really is a craftsman.

Thanks, man. The more I drive with it, the more I like it. Was a bit of an adjustment getting into reverse, but I'm used to it now.
Rochester - I agree about the finish on the top matching the Carsmo *****, that was a pleasant surprise.
Side note - whoever that was that said they were able to get the factory **** off with their bare hands, WOW.
I had to use vice grips and it tore the factory **** apart. Good thing I like this one lol.

Furlow, that is the exact same **** I've been looking at for when I get my SS kit. A couple of questions...
- Is that literally just the 350/370 ****, or did you have to have them customize it in any way to work for the G? This is the one I'm looking at for reference. Is this what you bought? WC Lathewerks ****
- It seems from the pictures that it matches the interior AL trim pretty well. Thoughts on this?
- What are the dimensions? Specifically I want to know the width up top and the distance from the top of piston to where it starts to taper. I'm not sure how an "upright" **** like this would feel in my hand, so I want to make a mockup.
- Does the weight make shifts smoother, or have you noticed?

It is literally a **** made for the 350/370Z, but it fits our cars perfectly. The link you provided is exactly what I ordered, and I didn't make any modifications.
It matches the interior perfectly, it really does. I have the Carsmo ***** as well, and the concentric rings (as Rochester referred to them) are a spot on match. When the light shines on them it's really sharp looking.
I haven't measured it but it's about 1.5" in diameter and about 4" tall to where the taper begins. Then it tapers back out and lines up dead even with the shift boot. It's very seamless and "stock" looking.
I had the same reservation about the piston style **** - I thought I wouldn't like having something to "grip." I almost went with the teardrop shape but I really liked the straight lines of this one. At first it felt a bit strange not having the "bulb" shape in my hand, but I got used to it in about 30 minutes. Now I can't even remember what the stock one felt like. It's definitely heavier than the stock shift ****, which makes the shifts feel more solid. It's shorter as well, so it kind of feels like a short shifter. And because it's solid metal, you get more feedback from the shifts/engine - which is good or bad depending on your viewpoint. For me it's good, I like to feel the car and what's going on. If you're someone who doesn't like added feel (I hate to call it "vibration" but that's the best word) then a hybrid **** with some leather/cloth would be better.
Anytime, I've received so much help from this site I'm honored to do my part.
Side note - you may want to look at the "big Type-R" ****. I debated that one as well. It's a bit of a blend of piston and bulb style.
Big Type R Shift **** | TWM Performance Shift *****
