Looks really good. Question, with the link above, where does one enter the paint code when checking out?
I emailed them through the eBay auction to ask about installation type - I didn't want to drill. They confirmed it was a 3M deal, I bought it and replyed again stating I just purchased one and gave them my eBay ID name to match up with the order. I confirmed the paint code in that last email to them.

I was still worried about weight and no bolts but once I picked up the box and wondered if there was anything it, I was sold. It weighs very little.

Yes. And I was worried about that too. It is enough to slip a towel through easily. The 3M tape goes around the perimeter completely, that notch allows the whole chrome truck lid piece to see the light of day.

Tony, nice work keeping the car so immaculate and sticking close to OEM but not quite. Nice improvements that are enhancing rather than detracting from the look.

Also agree on the dog, looks like a real pal

Thanks. Some mentioned a front lip - I looked at a few. The car being black, like the unpainted lips I see on eBay - how would that look if I left it unpainted?

I'd be more into drilling under there since its all plastic to plastic to attach one of those - no?

...that said, a Midnight Grille would look better; either OEM or custom.

The AE rims also look real good, far better than duckfeet or non-Sport 17's.

...that said, a mild drop would look better still.

From these pictures, it looks like you're keeping real good car of the car's finish. Not an easy task for a black car, so you're probably developing some excellent skills. There's so much shine here, right down to the tires and the exhaust tips.

...that said, those OEM exhaust tips, although clean, are kind of fugly, stunted, and angled downward. Considering you're preference for OEM-ish mods, a simple Tanabe Medalion axle-back would look much better.

I like that particular aftermarket spoiler, sitting over the chrome lip. In some ways I even like it better than the OEM duckbill spoiler.

...that said, I agree with Lego here, and you should have the chrome lip painted to match. Or (and this is just an idea) have it painted flat-black to match a flat-black lower diffuser area at the bottom of the rear bumper.
Thanks Roch. I need to look up the Tanabe after I finish this post.

I'm real particular on the finish. While I admit, I do not hand wash it every time, I do wipe down the whole car again after I get I home and in the shade. I use one wet microfiber towel and one dry and wipe it down once the paint is cool. As u know our mirrors hold water and leaves marks on the doors when u drive out of a car wash.

More than not, I do typical two bucket wash, I blow dry the car with my leaf blower, dry it down completely, then get it in the shade. I usually will do a spot wipe down here and there in the same way I described above.

Cheers.

I have something similar to that spoiler, this is the Stillen spoiler that also sits on the factory chrome piece and is a bit more flush then the ebay one. It also is a bit shorter rather then covering the trunk from both sides.

The chrome piece is also painted gloss black to blend in better with the rear end, as it looks out of place if left chrome.

Op, I went to the link and it didn't specify whether it was obsidian black or not. What color is yours?

Nice and clean looking. You probably get lots more downforce on the highway than I do.

That's KH3. It says black but it's obsidian black.

Mine is the same.

I wouldn't go by that. Not sure that search is directly tied to that particular auction. You can always email them through the auction itself and ask them anything you want.

What did the Stillen Spoiler cost you to get painted doublea88? I was reading the instructions on the Stillen site the other day and apparently there is a decent amount of prep needed prior to painting that unit. Also, how does it fasten down, double sided tape?

Agree with the others on leaf blowers and shade. The two make weekly car washes so much easier and the end result is much better than if you try to dry from a fully wet state with towels in the sun.

ToeKnee Sea - that lower grill bit of chrome looks great. Any afterthoughts or comments about it? German version?

Thanks very much. Yeah - you know - to do it over again, not sure i'd buy the"German" version. though it was only $10 more - i might have been hosed on that deal.

It does come longer than you need so you will need to cut it. I cut it multiple times to get down to the size I needed. i then cut the ends into this sort of shape / \ on both ends so it looks like it disappears into the grill.

The 3M tape comes with beveled notches cut into it so it curves easy as you apply it. it sticks very well.

Overall i'm happy with the way it looks and worth the $34 or so it cost. to me that lower grill screams for a bit of chrome trim - if you like chrome trim that is.

Cheers.
