I feel like I'm being jerked around on repairs - do I have any recourse?
I fail to see how the dealership would be responsible for any of this. It does suck for you, the consumer, but holding the dealer liable for another parties poor workmanship is unreasonable. Unless you can prove the dealership made these repairs, I can't see them taking responsibility. I watched them in my shop test (measure?) various panels panels with a paint thickness tool. If your dealer uses a similar device, you might have an argument that they missed it, but even then its a moot point.
Didn't mention it, but I assume the selling and servicing dealer are the same?

That's exactly what I thought. Don't have it on mine (knock on wood), but I've read about and seen pictures of that very same thing here on the forum.
Also, in addition to 4 years of bumper-2-bumper coverage and 6 years of drive-train coverage, INFINITI cars come with a 7 year, unlimited mileage, transferable corrosion warranty. Simply put, OP, your dealership is taking advantage of you. If you can, go to another INFINITI dealership.
Lastly, CPO cars require a $1000 (approx) certification process from Corporate, the cost of which is baked into the resale price of the car. It's a marketing scam that the consumer pays for, all the while duped into thinking they're getting something valuable for nothing. I thought everyone knew that.

Thats perforation... IE a hole thru a body panel.
Well that sucks. So if there were an area of the car experiencing obvious surface rust bleeding through the finish, INFINITI washes their hands of the manufacturing flaw? Wow. In the case of the OP's problem, his B2B warranty should cover the problem, right? I see "Certified Infiniti Service Advisor" in your sig, so you're best positioned to give the OP advice.
Edison, NJ, eh? That would be Ray Catina. That's where I bought my 6MT. Made an impression on me as being a very professional dealership.
Also off-topic (sorry, OP), but I don't get why you've 3.692 gears listed in your sig. AFAIK, that's OEM for the 6MT non-Vert.

Loophole! Doesn't say intentional keying! Lol
the cons of buying a used car at a dealership looks good till a week or 2 later once glaze wears off when i bought my g didnt notice any problems till 2 weeks later rotors were warped moisture in headlight found traces of repainted door. sucks.
Welp, I talked with the dealership, here's what I walked away with:
Wheel - it was obviously improperly repaired. They would have no way of knowing this when they sold me the car. They won't fix it because of that. Fair enough, I'll accept that. $150 to refinish it with their guy.
Rust - When the tech called me and told me there was damage to the trunk and therefore would not be warrantied, I had assumed he meant it was damaged and repainted improperly. What he meant was that there was a chip in the paint that was causing it to rust, and that isn't covered. Specifically, he was talking about this spot:

I quickly pointed that it wasn't a chip in the paint, that pocket in the paint was from the rust eroding the paint away. I then pointed out the number of other rust spots on the trunk lid to show him how that spot had started out. He scheduled me in for their bodyshop to look at it, but told me it was subject to Infiniti approval to have it warrantied. He told me he was skeptical that they'll cover it, but we'll see about that. Ain't no way I'm letting my 30k Infiniti rust away already without them fixing it. He even said on the phone when he called the shop that he had 'another trunk rust problem that they occasionally send their way', telling me that this is at least a semi-frequent problem.

I kind of feel like they could do a little better than $150 on the wheel repair considering they are partly responsible. I know for certain they aren't paying the sublet $150 to do the job, they should have just let you pay cost on it.
I'll post it on here, I don't mind - Luther Infiniti in Bloomington. I like Marty, the service rep I spoke to. Rest of the dealership sucks. When I bought the car and declined the extended warranty, the finance manager literally said to me 'So you're not going to go running to your mom and dad when this car breaks down?'. Such a tool. I regret not just walking out of the dealership after that and telling them to f off.
I know, right? That was my first thought. A rock chip, THERE? Get out of here...

And on the other side of the spectrum is BMW of Minnetonka, they will replace things that don't even need to be replaced on my dads car. Great service.
I hope you can get this sorted out.
