I'm trying to figure out if there's something wrong with my car or if it's normal. On my G37, I don't think the high speed on the windshield wipers is all that fast. It seems like it's barely faster than the continuous low speed.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or are your wipers extremely fast and I may have a problem? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

 

Yeah I would agree with your observation.

The fastest wiper speed on the G seems to be a bit slower than most other cars I've driven.

 

All Nissans (and Infinitis) that I've ever driven have wipers that are too slow on the highest speed. The G37 is no exception. Normal.

I've had other Nissan/Infiniti products in the past and, while they weren't incredibly fast, I found the high-speed wiper speed to be more than satisfactory. But I am not at all satisfied with the wiper speed on this G, especially after driving through a heavy thunderstorm recently. Nissan needed to make them much faster. (for comparison, on my Chevy truck, the wipers are so fast and powerful that you can feel them rock the entire truck when stopped!)

I immediately put on a fresh coat of Rain-X after that storm to help combat the problem.
