Front bumper rock chips

I recently realized that my front bumper has quite a few rock chip (thought they were just dust) which makes the car look worse than it should.. I know i didnt have the protection film put on in the first place, but wondering if i do use the protection film now, will it make the bumper look better? Or is there any other solution?
Please help

nope. respraying the front bumper will make it look better. then you can 3M it if you want to.

I went to the dealership and told them that this sucks and they resprayed it for free.

Wow! That's rare. Glad they took care of you.

That was nice of your dealership! Although in my opinion should be expected from a luxury car company, especially given the crappy thin paint Nissan/Infiniti uses on these cars.

Just so you're aware... Wait for the paint to dry/cure completely before putting on the 3M clear bra (should you choose to do so). When painted at the factory, the cars are baked in an "oven" to dry the paint completely; cars painted later at body shops aren't done this way so it takes a couple months for the paint to dry completely.

Personally, I think the clear bra is more trouble, risk , and costly than it's worth, but I think I'm in the minority on that

I've seen a few clear bras after the effects of time and sandblasting from the road. It looks worse than the paint chipped bumper IMO

Plus the cost of a quality clear bra film installed by a qualified applier cost a lot, pretty sure more so than having the bumper stripped & resprayed

OP not sure if it's your local roads or driving habits, but staying further back from the driver has had a positive effect on my bumpers appearance (just sayin)

This for sure ^^^
Made the biggest difference for me after my new bumper install, not to mention the hood, windshield, pillars, etc.

Sounds Like I am going to respray my bumper to get rid of those chips and not put on the clear bra. Thanks y'all for those recommendation.

now that's what i call customer loyalty development! better than any freebie i have ever gotten out of the dealer. you better not mention the dealer name otherwise they will get a bunch of re-spray requests from forum members!

while our paint is known to chip easier than some makes, a lot of it can be attributed to the owner's habits (i.e. following too close, driving on unpaved roads, etc) where it is reasonable to expect paint wear.
