Hey guys, as u might already know I purchased my 09 g37 sedan on mothers day for about 18.9k plus taxes n fees with 50k miles. A day later I had to take the car into an infiniti Dealer for repairs due to a timing chain cover issue causing the car not to drive as it should. Extreme shaking , transmission gear issues. Dealer said it was cuz of the timing chain cover it was causing all those other issues and that the tranny was great. They had the vehicle from wed-fri (3days) due to repair. Car is driving just fine now. I found an '11 with 51k exactly the same as mine, ext color and interior colors, plus some extra option(s) From what I can see it has the rear sonar detection, mine does not for about the same price as my '09 at a different dealership. I like the styling of the '11 due to front end and interior lighting (info display is white as supposed to red and navi screen is blue as supposed to gray) I don't know what other differences there are since I haven't physically seen the vehicle. Here's the part where I need ur help : the dealership where I purchased mine just contacted me saying the finance company returned the contract due to some discrepancies and I needed to go in and fix some minor things and re do the contract n sign the new one. They said not to worry that I was already approved . Does this mean since the contract was rejected for discrepancies the loan hasn't been finalized ? Can this be a blessing in disguise and tell the dealer I don't feel comfortable with the car since it's already been at the shop after one day of ownership and give back the car n not sign the new contract and go get the '11??? I've only put 600 miles on the car since I got it.
A co-worker of mine had this same exact issue when he bought a tricked out Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. They called him up 3 weeks later and told him that line about the contract needs to be re-written. He had some SERIOUS buyers remorse after the first week. He ended up giving the Jeep back which infuriated the dealership because he had taken the Jeep on a long trip and camping. LOL It was hardly mint condition when he returned it. The dealership couldn't do a thing about it because they screwed the pooch.
By the way, you can change the color theme of your display unit inside the settings menu on the display.

What display? The navi display or the info display near the gauges? Cuz I tried to change the color scheme on the nav display but it doesn't look blue like in the pics I posted of the 2011 g37 and I like the white info display between the gauges as supposed to the red . Hmm I might give it back to them if I can go take a look at this '11 . I did just notice that one of the headlights is out in the pics lol
Make sure no terms are not changed otherwise walk. I had a car for a few weeks one time and they contacted me saying they couldnt get me financed at agreed upon price. They tried to give me crap saying I had to etc.. They wanted me to bring the car back. I told them to come get it thats its in the driveway. They sent a tow truck.

Make sure when you go take a look at this other car, that you examine it thoroughly. A 2011 Infiniti G37 for $18.9k sounds a little too good to be true, especially from an Infiniti dealer. Also, MAKE SURE YOU TEST DRIVE IT before you buy. You may have been able to haggle the price much lower if you'd come across the transmission problems BEFORE you bought it.
Judging by the pics, the headlight is already out on one side, which is already not a good sign for a car that's only about 3 years old.
I bought my 2007 Infiniti G35x with all the options (Premium, Nav, Tech) except sport in 2009 for $28.5k. It had only 21k miles.

Dude... that's crazy! Did you just leave the car there when you left? I'm assuming you didn't sign anything. That is nuts... especially how they told you there were just "minor discrepancies". I've never gotten financing through a dealership and now I'm pretty glad I didn't.

That's some shady stuff there bro. Things like that are not supposed to happen. Before you leave the car lot, the bank would've already finalized everything. They just held your contract and called you to get more money out of you.
I had a similar issue the first time I bought a car from a dealership. Since the bank the dealership went through wanted to change the terms I was given the opt out from the deal and was given my trade-in back like nothing happened. The reason why I was able to drive the car off the lot and found out later was I bought the car during a holiday weekend so the bank didn't review the terms until the next business day.
Personally, I would stay away from 2008-2009 and look for a 2010 or newer. The 2013 ECU update changes how the VVEL system starts up and oils itself so that you no longer need to use Ester oil. The 2008-2009 doesn't work with that update, so it's nice to just use regular dino oil just like my old 2006 350z 6MT. That and the amber color center in the gauge cluster annoys me.
I bought my 2011 Journey Sedan for 24K plus taxes last July with 24k miles on it. I would recommend doing some searches if you aren't in a immediate need for another car. I've seen some 2010 and 2010 for $20k to $23k.

Hey guys sorry been away for a while. I ended up returning the car back to dealer and went to carmax to get me an 09 g37s coupe. It has what I was looking for in the first place so I'm very happy to have remained in the infiniti family because I was also looking at the acura tl but not enough hp on them lol I got her on 5/29 and so far I got the windows tinted 5% rear and 20% fronts (but it's too light so I might just get 5% all around) and I tinted my tails GT-R style. Pics are after I did a full exterior detail since I got over spray on the car after tinting the tails. so without further delay, here she is :
