Help with cel after install of resonators
I replaced my stock cats with the berk high plow resonators and after everything was installed I recieved a p1148 code. I realize this is bank one open loop short circuit/failure. The O2 sensor for the exhaust manifold. My question is, if that is the case is it because I sprayed wd40 near it? Could it still be wet, or because I used an impact wrench in its vicinity? Is it possible that it needs to cycle a few times before it goes away? The other thing I figure is that the O2 is screwed and I need a new one. I have checked the wiring and the connections. I do not see anything wrong with either. Is there a fuse that could have blown from them getting soaked in wd 40? Thanks for any suggestions/help
Did u have your battery disconnected during the install? I would try to reset the ecu before anything else. It is very possible u messed up the o2 sensors during install because of the impact gun. The wd40 shouldn't have messed anything up as long as it was sprayed on the outside. I soaked both sides with pb blaster when I installed my test pipes. But I was very careful with the bank 1 o2 sensors during the process for this exact reaso . U never know though, it might go away I'm a couple hundres miles
This happens to some folks when they install HFCs. There will be a code for some and not for others.
If you don't plan on getting a tune, I'd just install a fouler on each side to help eliminate the code.

the code is not coming from the cats its from the exhaust manifold. I have heard that the battery disconnect on these cars doesn't do anything, because like your wife they remember everything! I tried to do the gas pedal reset, but the car won't do it since the code is displayed
I have a bully dog now that reads the codes and deletes them. I do always like second choices though. I looked this up and was wondering which one is the best, because there were quite a few on ebay. Thanks

good point. i honestly have not checked, which seems stupid, but it started coming on just a couple days after my HFC install. i have gotten it to go away for a day or so with an ECU reset with the gas pedall, but it comes right back
