G37 Sedan Illuminated Floor Sills

Good morning all, I hope that this is the right forum to do this, but I'm going to take a chance. The Ebay listing is up again for the lighted floor sills for our vehicles. There is a how to install somewhere in our forums, and I just wanted to pass the news on to those on the forum that missed out on it last time. I am not involved with the product whatsoever, just providing information on an opportunity to add some subtle bling to our G's

Tony

Welcome to the forum as well!

One piece of helpful advice, watch out for our resident troll, Rochester. He's a cyber bully but a real kind individual in person. You'll either make his good side or the side that is in a fiery hole.

WTF, Connor? Keep your fiery hole to yourself, man.

OP, good find on the door sill plates. I've always wanted to do this, but the DIY intimidates me.

That Ebay offering looks like the real deal. But looking at the vendors other sale items makes me wonder just how he got ahold of a supply of OEM Infiniti parts like this? Just my skepticism steppin' out...

It's all jokes - you're a cool guy, what can I say. The DIY is easier if you have a T-harness to use.

I'm almost certain these aren't OEM parts, but they're door sills, not a critical engine component. I can settle for aftermarket that looks like OEM.

My understanding of the item is that the "T" harness is included in this rendition of the sale.

Agreed- they're not a critical parts. But having installed the OEM-supplied lighted kick plates on my wife's car, the photos in the kit look exactly like it. Sure, it could be a copy, but it appears they're supplying the same wiring harness that plugs into the ECM like the OEM part. That kind of attention to detail is not usually a standard of the aftermarket. My guess is they found an oversupply or fire sale of these kits.

IIRC, that was the conclusion the last time this came around. OEM parts, for sale on the cheap. I've also noticed that the OEM Midnight Grille can be had for half of what was typical just a year ago. Kind of a similar situation. People say, "Must be a knock-off, because eBay." But turns out to be Nissan equipment after all.

Yes that is the general assumption, however the sticker he had advertising the product and P/N looked self-created. Whatever - I ordered a set because I missed out on the last set of these I saw on the forum.

It looks like the exact same as the previous sale. I think the seller did eventually say that the T-harness was NOT included. Even without the harness, this is a relatively easy DIY if you follow the instructions posted in the other thread especially if I can do it. I did buy some cheap trim removal tools to avoid unnecessary scratching.
