Thanks for the info guys! I will definitely keep an eye on the battery moving forward. Any recommendations for a battery?

It's like 7 years or 50k whatever comes 1st, I don't remember off hand.
1st battery was after only 6months, no explanation at the time from the dealer.
2nd time was almost 4 years later, the factory was offering me a 25% discount.
When I went to the dealer(same place I bought it from) they didn't charge anything. Found out the original battery was draining due to it was only a 550 cca, the new oem was a 700 cca. Never had a problem from that point on. I was surprised it wasn't a maintenance free battery, turns out no.
Good luck with your getting sorted out.
Is try the dealership 1st. You may luck out like I did.
If anything, call corporate 1st & see what they offer.
They may do nothing, in the end the dealership took care of it.
Retail was $129.00+tax.
Ended up with a freebie, the car was out of warranty by age not the mileage.

It's worth a phone call, pretend you don't know why it died & can they help you.
That's what I did, was worth the phone call.
Was just about to replace it with a diehard from sears, was like 159, so I called corporate 1st.
It was more the dealership than Infiniti, but they gave me a ref# & got it 100% free.

Question, how do I open the trunk when my battery is dead? I had to call roadside assistance when my battery died because I could not get to the jumper cables in my trunk.

Get an AC/Delco Battery. When ever I need to replace a battery I get an AC/Delco.
I had a deep cycle AC/Delco battery I used in my bass boat for 14 years. In the winter I would take it out of my boat, put a charge in it and store it, Charge it again in the spring and kept on fishing. That thing took literally hundreds of charges and was still rocking when my cheating now ex wife stole my boat. I eventually got the boat back, she kept the battery. I replaced it with another that is still fishing 9 years later.
I have 2 Jeeps, both have AC/Delco batteries in them. If the one in my Infiniti even thinks about acting up I will have one in it too!

Use the physical key to get into your car, also use it to open the door in the back seat that opens to your trunk, reach in and grab your cables. Keep them near the back of your trunk just in case.

I didn't want to start a new thread for the same or similar issue. My car is kind of acting up again. On Sunday I started the car normally. Once the car started it rev'd a little bit up like normal and then died out. It did this twice. After the second time it felt like it wanted to stall out but fought thru it. This is very similar to my issue before in which the dealer said the battery was low on charge.

Could this be a fuel pump type of issue? It did not do it at all yesterday or today but I am nervous overall.

From the recent posts, I couldn't tell if you've changed your battery yet, but your problem might be deeper than an old battery. I had a similar experience with my 2009 G37S in 2011 at 41K miles: my battery kept dying, but the car was not acting weird after jump starts. I think there was a thread that I saw here about a part draining the battery, so I took it to the dealer, and they said it's a known issue. My receipt says: VALVE ASSY-CONTROL-14935-JF00B, which is the part that was draining the battery and would not turn off after shutting off the engine. The car was still under warranty, so they replaced it and put in an M battery; the dealer said the OEM G battery was weak, anyways. The M battery was getting weak recently, but a few drops of distilled water in the cells solved the issue.
Some of the frequent posters may know about this issue and help with a TSB, if available.
Good Luck!!

Thanks for your reply. I have not changed my battery yet. Prior to getting it charged at the dealership I had a one instance of actually needing to be jumped. The car was completely dead. Sunday was a tad bit different in that the car started up and all the lights came on just fine so I don't think it was battery related.

When i priced batteries for my previous 06 G35 the dealer was not much higher so i had them install a 700 CCA battery
Everything worked after they replaced the battery.
If you have an 09 and still on the original battery you need to replace it before you get stranded on a dark and rainy night

are you sure that your battery is not just getting old and needs replacement?
