New '10 G37x owner

Hello, just picked up a used 2010 black g37x last week. Love it. Traded in my '03 CL-S 6MT.

This car only comes with the premium package, no navi. I'm able to bluetooth my android s3 and make calls, but i can't seem to stream music through it. Is this normal with this year/model/package ?

I think i read somewhere that I had to have the Navi to get streaming over bluetooth...

This is a sick ride, loving the handling over the 03 CL-S and the power is definitely aplenty. Will be looking to lower and get some rims for the summer.

Thanks guys!

Streaming is only on the Navi equipped models from my understanding. I have a navi with bluetooth streaming, but use USB and an ipod.

I think this is true. I have an S4 phone w/ Nav on my car and there is a separate option for Audio. Are you looking for Pandora via the phone or downloaded music from the device? But if you have the Audio Bluetooth option, that should be able to accommodate your needs.

Bluetooth audio is only available with the Navigation Package. The standard interface doesn't allow for you to interface via a bluetooth audio device.

However, if you Google search "30-pin bluetooth adapter", you'll find a device that's about the size of two postage stamps put together. You can plug that in via a 30-pin iPod connector and stream bluetooth audio to that device. It will relay the audio to your dash. Best thing is that they're like $10-15 depending on where you buy from.

Also from what I've noticed, you cannot plug in a GS4 via a USB cable. I tested on the same vehicle above and we couldn't get it to work. I'd check out one of those adapters, or go buy a cheap iPod from craigslist, and load it up with your music.

Welcome to the forums, btw. Any mods planned?

Thanks for the quick replies... I'm guessing there's no AUX input jack hidden somewhere in the car that I could plug my android into either....

@Connoisseurr , i'll have to def check that 30pin bluetooth adapter out. Mainly trying to stream downloaded music.

Mods will be to lower first, then rims, so ill have to research on what springs work best on our rides.

Has this been confirmed to work????
For 2010+ non-nav with a USB only in the console when the system connects to an iDevice it does so digitally so those 30 pin bluetooth adapters might not work.

If you want a linear spring, go with Swift(moderate drop). If you want a bit more drop eibach which is a progressive spring and has more of a flex prior to stiffening. Linear is the same throughout the range.

I haven't noticed an AUX connector in my vehicle with Navigation, or my friends w/o Navigation.

The 30-pin adapter works. It's quirky sometimes but it does work.

As for what you asked about lowering, I'd definitley recommend Swift then H&R. I was in a G37x with Eibachs and wasn't a fan of how "loose" it felt. I have Swift springs now, but am planning to either switch to H&R or coilovers. (trying to justify which cost will be better spent)

I've had success with them - the same design from two different suppliers actually.

Although, I'd still recommend going to get a cheap used iPod from CL and syncing your music on that. What my friend does is he picked up and 16GB iPod touch, and uses his Galaxy S4 as a hotspot for his iPod Touch to play music from Soundcloud, Pandora, etc. Works very well actually.
